When Asik and Lin gets moved and the Rockets free up $15+ these experts will sing a different tune.

What do I think or what are they saying?

They are saying that the Bulls would give up whatever it takes to get Anthony (now keep in mind these are mostly NATIONAL sports reporters) and that Anthony prefers Chicago to Houston.

It is taken for granted that Reinsdorf will allow Foreman to amnesty Boozer and deal Dunleavy, Butler, etc.

The sense is Gibson will not be included.

    What do I think?

I have lived here for years and Reinsdorf is the owner of the Bulls and he has been burned in free agency in the past. I am not so sure he is willing to pay Boozer to stay home AND pay Anthony the $18,000,000 a year to sign in Chicago. I think that if Butler wasn't included in the trade, he would not be resigned after next year as he wants Chandler Parsons money.

I do not discount Chicago as a strong possibility, but I do not think that it is a certainty. I think the Rockets are willing to do more to get Anthony than Chicago and I still think NY has a good chance as well.

There is a WHOLE LOT going on right now. A number of teams are trying to get star players. People on here that are certain that the Rockets will get their third star are kidding themselves. It is going to be really hard.... there are literally 10 teams all fighting for 2-3 players.

Dummy. Getting the 3 guys in Miami to all take a 50% cut is somewhat ideal/possible but the Rockets or Bulls getting rid of bad contrcats is not.

this is totally like last year. the same cast of characters saying that they know what's going to happen, and it changes every day.

That looks new. And it wasn't talked about per se in Amick's Morey/Howard article the other day.

Golden State is also fun to watch and Chicago is a bigger media market. Not to mention the Bulls' history counts for a lot. That team is still raking in the bucks, long after Michael Jordan's departure.

We did force the media to pay attention to us last year when we got Dwight, but I do agree. There is a prevailing attitude in the media and with the refs (how many times did we get a "oops, that Dwight Howard foul was incorrect" in the playoffs?) against Dwight. The kid simply wanted to find a better situation for himself but the last straw was spurning the Lakers.

Knicks homer saying Melo will stay. Sounds legit.

It looks like GS is going to end up with Love, so they'll be out of the running soon anyway, and Chicago's best player has been out for two years. The Rockets are really the only team that makes any sense (unless the big 3 want's to take less to sign him which I doubt they do).

Phil Jacksons been really vague about Melo coming back. I think as long as us or Chicago are able to create space, he's gone from New York.

Houston also has a better chance because they tried to trade for him before... without Howard.

A poster here once made a comment on how to recognize which is legit that I thought is clever. It goes along the lines of...

"Say NO to AmiCO, cuz' AmicK is OK.

Amick for sure. Can't remember the last time Amico was taken seriously around here.

Alex Kennedy was also quoted to saying Dwight was on his way back to LA to tell the lakers yes- but we all know that guy is a complete hack anyway

but having ESPN run with that info considering how many media outlets they dominate (internet, television and radio) the general talk just became saturated with it that other outlets had to lend credence to it.

I mean ESPN could say LeBron wants to go to the Bucks and while in the long run it will be refuted - you can bet it will quickly dominate all sports talk and you'll see others say "sources" also agree that they heard rumors about the Bucks. etc.

Howard does the foul stuff to himself, if it even exists. Howard has never once committed a foul. At least that is what he thinks. I'm happy about having him, but he whines about every single call, even when they are clear fouls.

Oh stop it. He gets so many bs fouls called on him. He has every right b**** about calls even if they're rightly called.

Just listened to that Amick interview. He did not say Houston is the favorite. He said if you could read Melos mind you would know who he preferred between Houston and Chicago.
