If the Rockets are pursuing either of these two, who should they reach out to first? Depending on which one is first would the other be offended being the second choice. I think they should go after Lebron personally.

I didnt include Love as that would require a trade. I am thinking of possible free agents and the top 2 being mentioned are Lebron and Carmelo.
Obviously you pick Lebron over Carmelo but since Carmelo would opt out 1st, I would go after Carmelo hard out of the gate on the 23rd. Then if the 29th rolls around and Lebron opts out and wants to play with us, you move Harden or Howard to make room for Lebron. I'm sure Miami would take either of those in a SnT. Otherwise if you wait until the 29th, which may come and go without him opting out, the Bulls may have already sold Carmelo on signing with them. Then we have plan D...whoever we can get...
In that case, both...(thinking that Lebron would be a longshot but still make him feel "welcome"). I just don't want to lose 1 chasing after the other and be standing there with no more empty chairs when the music stops. Also I just realized that we couldnt SnT with Miami because we wouldn't be below the cap. We'd have to find a taker for Howard or Harden with nothing back then sign Lebron.
