    Chandler Parsons?

I am feeling a let down this Summer. I am all for Melo and/or LeBron, but I am not too optimistic.

Out of that list, I would bet we would get Carmelo. In reality, nobody knows. July 1st couldn't get here soon enough.

Im going all in on Lebron and I hope Morey does to, I'd almost rather not get any of them and stand pat if we don't get the King.

Melo seems like the most likely, but I can't help but feel like the Rockets really have a chance at LeBron. I'm pretty confident that they'll end up with one of those two.

Most likely seems to be Melo, but he would be my 3rd or 4th choice from that list if we could choose.

I'd say the odds are something like:

    Favorite: Nobody 1:1
    2nd: Melo 3:1
    3rd: Lebron 10:1
    4th: Bosh 15:1
    5th: Love 15:1
    6th: Rondo 20-1

    * Bosh and Love are low not because they are the better players, but because the nature of their availability makes them less likely to be Rockets in my opinion. I don't believe Rondo will be available.

meh said it best...a lot is gonna be determined by the 23rd of June. If all three of the Heat big three opt out, I can really see a huge push in acquire Carmelo(who is guaranteed to opt out). If one of the big three from Miami(Wade)decides to opt in, it would mean that Lebron has made it clear that he doesnt believe the Heat can win a title regardless of what they may do this offseason. Bosh has quitely stated that this season has been a grind for him. Perhaps he may still have something in the tank, but I have this sneaky suspicion that Bosh may just be going to Dallas if he opts out. Regardless of what happens, the Rockets will at least be able to court some real players in this free agency period. Love and Rondo will not even be available.

    ^Looks/sounds about right.

Some of it depending on what the other guys do.

Carmelo (in the unlikely event goes) to Miami --> LeBron and Bosh stay
    LeBron stays --> Bosh stays
Love to Boston --> Rondo off the market

Seriously? If we're able to move Lin and Asik, we'd
Be fools not to acquire one of the big fish out there

we'd also be fools to offer the max to Bosh or some other second tier player...

If we dont get Lebron or I guess Melo if he begs his way here... than just sign a couple role players to one year deals and have another go at it with our actual team, ya know the one that plays for us! To often Rockets fans only only care about the next player to join the team rather than enjoying the ones we have.

Realistically, Melo is the only likely option. Lebron will opt in for one more year. He doesn't want the criticism of going to yet another super team and it's not like the Heat got taken out in the first round, they will believe they are still the best in the East and can get another shot at the Spurs or whoever else in the West. For Love, too much has to happen for us to get him.

For some reason I see us ending up with someone not on that list. Ariza, Pau Gasol, Paul Pierce maybe. Someone who will sign for part of the mid level and then use the cap space from Lin or Asik to go after some veteran defensive help. We have to resign Parsons too.

Honestly I'd be happy with Ariza (assuming he played like he did last year) + Lowry or Millsap if the Rockets struck out on LeBron & Melo.
