You know the other thousand posts where you say a version of the same thing? We got it already. Everybody understands your opinion about the merits of Kevin Love and James Harden. You have established this. To make everybody happy, why don't you take a break from the BBS and watch some Patrick Patterson footage from his glorious run with the Kings and Raptors. Bask in his glory. Again.
And how many time do people randomly post about "fire McHale" in various discussions? Hire Lionel Hollins? "How about we fire McHale and make Lionel the head coach!" Sign Melo? "Useless unless we fire McHale!" How many times did people argue over Jeremy Lin all season? How many posts talking about how Melo, or Lebron or Bosh should come to Houston are there? People tend to complain about posts being repetitive when the opinion contained therein is unpopular. Otherwise, folks here seem to be very content with reading and making repeated posts that agree with the majority opinion. "Harden is superstar!" "Fire McFail!" "Morey will land us a terrific free agent!"
Chris Broussard: Realistic homes for LeBron? LA Lakers - very unlikely Dallas - very unlikely Cleveland - on the radar (Irving, #1 pick or trade, who they hire as coach is critical(Alvin Gentry) Opt in - stay in Miami another year(San Antonio, New York, LA Lakers possible options next year) LA Clippers - long shot but possible(he's friends with Chris Paul, great respect for Doc Rivers) Dwyane Wade & Chris Bosh want to stay in Miami. Bosh, the Mavs are a possible option, though he doesn't want to play in his hometown. Looks like they could opt in. If the Heat go to them and say instead of opting in, what about $55-$60 million over 4 years? Only way I see Bosh leaving is if LeBron leaves. He loves Miami. I see those two staying. Carmelo Anthony - his first choice? He's going into free agency. Chicago is very high on his list, probably the front-runner. Rose, Noah, Thibodeau want it to happen. They want those three and keep Taj Gibson. They need to impress him but they're very high on his list. They need to keep Thibodeau. There is tension there. They do like Fred Hoiberg (but need to keep Thibodeau).
Likelihood LeBron would go to Houston? Stephen A.: It's slim, although Dwight is the type of big that would flourish with the presence of James. James Harden is a superstar offensively. A complete no show defensively. To watch him play defense is embarrassing. If he has a problem with it, because he is sensitive, go watch tape of himself. James Harden is big time offensively. Defensively, a no show. When you look at it from that perspective, because of Houston's system, you got Parsons, Omer Asik wanted to be out before last season, and Jeremy Lin has not lived up to snuff and is due a big pay day, in order to do that, LeBron would have to be willing to come there and someone would have to be willing to take that baggage off Houston's roster. I don't know if they would be successful in doing so. It's a long shot to be kind and doesn't appear to be one of LeBron's preferences. It's Miami and Cleveland with the considerable edge. The dude is a big time player. I'm not talking about someone who can't play defense but someone who won't defend. He turns his back, let's them run around, I'm talking about a guy on far too many occasions has fallen asleep on defense. That is not about skill. There is no doubt you can question the effort. I have factual tapes to prove about James Harden. James Harden plays no defense. The effort is not there. We're not talking skill but effort. It's a shot he could land Carmelo, more so than LeBron. Houston is a tier one destination and they are in Texas. Houston is a big time city. I love Houston. But let me tell you, you still have to facilitate a trade and someone has to be willing to make a deal with you for you to acquire those players. Raise of hands that believes Lin and Asik are worth $30 million? Are you kidding me? All I'm saying is that combination of those two will not propel you to new heights.
Can't argue with Stephen A there other than the Lin and Asik takes. Morey seems confident that we can make the moves to open up cap space, so I have no doubt it can be done.
The actual cap hits on their contracts is nothing for the level of players they are. Especially Asik. It's really the payment the owners have to make. Would it still be easy to move them despite that?
I'd be very surprised if Asik couldn't be had for an actual asset in return. That leaves just Lin. If Jefferson/Biedrins can be shipped out in a package deal, no doubt Lin can by himself.
Is it a coincidence that Stephen A Smith called Harden sensitive literally the day after Woj called Lebron that? I'm not sure it is, and it's like it was on his mind.
Where will Lebron James Play his first game of the 2014-2015 NBA Season? Miami Heat 1/3 Cleveland Cavaliers 7/2 Chicago Bulls 13/2 Houston Rockets 13/2 Los Angeles Lakers 15/1
I'm not a gambler, but from my rudimentary knowledge of how the odds work, doesn't the numbers say losing LeBron would make the Heat MORE LIKELY to win?
The article also says that the Cavs have a better shot at landing him when the odds are more in our favor. 3/2 is incredibly good odds, wow.
LMFAO ESPN pushing HARD to keep Anthony out of Houston. Chad Ford just said they Anthony is going to Miami or Chicago. "Sources" says he is going to Chicago.
