So I guess I'm the only one that doesn't want LeBron here?

How about some nuance? LeDiva is more than a star. The media has turned him into NBA royalty. He's a media circus, and it would be 100% about him if he joined the Rockets. It would be ten times worse than Yao Ming. Ten times worse the Lin. Where's the fun in that?

lol pretty much. i don't like lebron but would love him on the team.

it would be funny to see posts after we lose to the spurs with lebron though.
"well if we could just get two more superstars to pair up with Howard, Harden and Lebron."

Yes, yes you are. You'd have to be clinically insane to not want Bron here

No you're not. There difference between a basketball "fanatic" and a basketball "purist". A fan is primarily entertained with highlights and obsessed with certain players. A purist cares about the competition factor and the intregrity of the game. I don't want Lebron because I feel the ALLEGED best player in the league shouldn't be jumping from team to team looking for the easiest route to a championship. It's weak. I thought he was the "King", shouldn't he be drawing players to him?

The fun is in the NBA titles it would get us. That's where the fun is. And that's why bringing in LeBron is not comparable to drafting Yao or signing Lin.

During the championship celebrations and parades, you can feel free to pout in the corner all you want, complaining in unspecific terms about divas, ESPN, or anything else.

Meanwhile, the rest of us won't give a f*** what Windhorst or any other boob is saying and will instead be taking in all the great achievements.

    1. Please understand that the Rockets success has no meaningful connection to your life except maybe cheering the players at the games. 2. I'm not sure reeling in a ringer qualifies as an achievement. 3. LeDiva is a tool, and I'd rather not have him wearing a Rockets' uniform.

I disagree with your definitions. I'm a fan of the game. The game. The game. Certain players stand out, certainly. But I've watched the game evolve over decades and appreciate it for what it is. Your definition of "fan" seems more like "bandwagon fan" or at least, "player only" or "casual fan". A true basketball fan appreciates all aspects of the game and the players.

If you're a purist and you desire pure, fundamental skills as touted by the founders of the game I suggest you watch the WNBA. It's more "pure" basketball than the NBA by your definition.

I admit I have not been the biggest Lebron fan but in the midst of all the talk about Lebron possibly coming to Houston, it would be foolish to not want a player like that on your team. Miami could have Howard, Harden and Parsons for Lebron and the Rox would still be better off in that trade. Lebron is a generational talent/player. If you have a chance to land a player like that, you do it without question.

i'm not even sure why so many people hate lebron? b/c he's the best? b/c he's popular??? sure "the decision" wasn't handled great and i loved rooting against the heat but as a person and player, what exactly turns one off on him?

some of y'all are grade A douchebags. "oh i want to EARN it!".... earn what??? YOU aren't earning a damn thing. you're sitting around watching dudes play basektball. purist? wtf is a "purist" and why is that a more "noble" way of winning a title??? you're talking about what of the greatest overall players in basketball history joining the rockets but you would rather hold on to some fabricated basketball principle for god knows what reason.

    get a f'ing life.
