Yes, I am serious. I am using facts, like the Heat's record vs the West, which is pretty good. They haven;t always had an easy path to the finals

2011 - Bulls (a title favorite), Celtics (still elite team). probably a tougher path to the finals than the West
    2012 - Knicks/Pacers/Celtics - all legit playoff teams
2013 - easier year, only Pacers were tough
2014 - Nets were very strong in the 2nd half of the season. Probably equivalent to a 1st round team in the West. Pacers, even though they fell apart, still a good team

i don't care much about your expertise and commentary regarding false the other stuff, like "all in the east is lottery", "so so is harder than two other teams combined, omg".

Heat win 70%+ of their games vs. the West except this year, which just happens to be their weakest. they win their games against good teams. They have won more against the west. They've proven they don't need home court to beat anyone. They only rested wade for 28 games in one year. These are facts, not a hypothetical made-up scenario provided by some mysterious expert online

If you'd ask me this 3 years ago, I'd have voted that I'd want him but would feel winning is tainted. Now I no longer feel that after us getting Harden and Dwight, yet I don't feel any less awesome after our wins.

If the NBA is set up where recruiting stars is how you win? Then f*** yeah give me the biggest star on my team.

Clyde is a Rocket. The way he talks shows his passion about Houston. And Vernon is the man. He kicked ass for us. I was young back then but I remember him quitting due to him being upset that he got benched. Sure, he should have took it but that's not his personality. He's a hot head passionate player. And he does have a point, he was a major contributor to the 93-94 championship and management says thank you buy giving him the chair. Maybe I'm more cynical now but that's how I feel.

His point was that playing a tougher schedule and not being able to rest as much would have tired out LeBron at an even faster pace; thus, their record would be worse than it was and they would have had a lower seeding. Also, playoff series against the western teams, especially this year were much tougher than the eastern series...that is a fact and can't be argued. The west was historically good this year and the east was historically weak. Nearly every team in the west that made the playoffs + even Phoenix/Minn would have had a great shot in the eastern conference (without Miami).

No one is arguing that the west is better than the east. my point is that when you're an elite team, you will most likely dominate the lower seeds. Using facts (Heat winning more vs. west since 2010), i'm not willing to accept the argument that the supposed "tough" 4-10 seeds in the west would dominate the Heat enough for them to miss the playoffs, lose in the first round, or be lucky to make the 2nd round

Heat would be at the very least a #3 title favorite if playing in the West. They are not going to miss the playoffs because of their 54-win finish, as this guy seems to want to imply. They were an elite team, not the 2000-2002 New jersey nets

As a Player, I'd want him here. But as a person, that is a different story..

I would be ecstatic if we won a championship with him, but I would rather beat a player that will go down as a top 5 of all time, rather than win with him.

What a silly poll. It's almost like asking does 2+2=4 with options yes, no and maybe just to see who's responses are no and maybe.

You either win a championship or you don't. There is no such thing as "true championships" vs "false championships"

I can't forsake anyone for wanting Lebron but it's really offensive to ridicule those of us who would rather build with another star addition. We're a stretch 4 away from being legit dynasty favorites, yet most people make it sound like it's Lebron or bust! Imagine if Wilt and Bill Russell joined together in the middle of their rivalry. Or Magic and Bird adopted the philosophy of "if you can't beat em, join em." It seems like the NBA has turned into who can manipulate the CBA rules in their favor to buy championships. Certainly, teams build with the goal of acquiring the best talent, but surely people can appreciate competitiveness and the thrill of toppling rivals. No doubt, I'm in the minority and you can say we're stubborn..I just resent being called an idiot for giving my honest opinion.

Really? To be honest, right now I'd much rather beat the team that everyone believes exemplifies all that is right and beautiful about the game of basketball. It would just be an epic troll on all NBA fans.

if lebron came here, 3 titles would be the floor for this team. you sign some shooters for cheap, but you have your 3 core guys (who fit together better than Miami's big 3) for 4-5 years and just watch the trophies fill the case. lebron solves our perimeter D problem, Harden / Bev / Parsons spread the floor for Lebron and Dwight, Harden can play off the ball finally for spot up shots (and on the ball for pnr with lbj OR dwight *drools*), Dwight patrols the paint and can still avg 18/12/2. You take the best player in the league, add him to a team with one of the best wing scorers and one of the best paint scorers and rim protectors and there's nothing else to expect. That houston team will forever have an asterisk as a squad, but would easily be the most dominant team in the league since the 96-98 bulls

How in gods name would it taint a title??

Unless we won because of refs cheating or a major injury to our opponents start player (maybe) then nothing is tainted.

Winning because you have the best player is not a bad reason for winning! Anyone who thinks winning would mean less is a complete idiot!

My love for those who wear the Rockets uniform would override my dislike of him.

He's the best player on the planet, without question. Do I think he is coming here? Negative. Maybe a .01% chance.
