How is that our worst nightmare?
Our worst nightmare would be Melo going to the Heat and we'd lose out on both LeBron and Melo and Bosh.

Lowry is not and should not be our first option.

If Wade, Bosh, and Lebron all opt in this summer Miami will have only the MLE to offer to Lowry. I would think Kyle would want a bigger contract.

I would be shocked if he takes a major cut
    but
If they can promise him endorsement money

Lowry is looking for 9-10 range based on other pgs in the league. No way he takes less because this is prob his last contract. If they all opt out and waive or trade haslem they might be able to do so. I just don't see wade taking a paycut as he saw Kobe get that huge extension and he's prob thinking he deserves the money for winning and bringing in lebron and bosh. Pat is too smart to cripple the franchise like kuptchak was for Kobe. So if dwade realizes this he will opt in. Bosh wants to stay and if they want Lowry they need to drop 10 atleast to sign him. That leaves 10 or less for lebron or other free agents.

If I'm Miami I would be praying wade opts out.

10 mil in Florida with no income tax = about 14 million in Toronto

Plus a better shoe deal, tons of other endorsements

His total earnings would probably be higher in Miami taxing slightly above the MLE, vs. a max in Toronto.

just fyi: there is a Jock Tax in the US. All sports players must pay income tax for away games at the rate of the home team's income tax. So, only the home games really benefit from the calculation you just made.

lowry won't sign for the MLE, even if it is to join the heat. the heat cannot create enough money to sign him. this is his one chance to get a big contract (he's been really underpayed on the one that's ending) and he will go for the $$'s.

For it to be our worst nightmare we'd have to have a fighting chance of getting to the Finals :/

why would k-low get a better shoe deal and tons of endorsements? just for going to miami? they aren't even a top 10 tv market. Houston is actually a bigger tv market than miami. i don't think anybody is pining to give lowry an endorsement deal.

Yes. Tons of endorsements. You know, like Chris Bosh these days, he's on the Nike commercials all the time.

The idea be the 'BRON' Effect
That perhaps Lebron's power Team can strong arm some folx into giving him a deal
more championships for BroN . .MEANS MORE $$$ FOR NIKE
So nike will give him a lil deal on some shoes

I think he will need at least 8 mill
    Can Miami make that happen
How much of a cut for the big three?

    Rocket River
I doubt Wade Opts out . . . and I doubt Bosh does
If they do .. . they will be the ones without a chair when the music stops in miami

Exactly. Just like the lil deal Nike gave Bosh, right?
