Nah, he's better than Parsons. Can do everything Parsons can offensively but he's also an elite defender and really good rebounder.

    Kill 'em Stephen A.!

Why have you only been to one NBA Finals Kevin Durant?
Why haven't you won a NBA championship Kevin Durant?

Could it be because of the system your under? How are you gonna praise a system to denigrate a player but at the same time, ignore your system which has failed to elevate you?

Considering that Kawhi Leonard and Paul George were both 1st round picks, it was expected that they would be good NBA players. Chandler Parsons was a relatively obscure 2nd round pick. Houston was able to get tremendous value from that pick based on what Parsons has done for the Rockets. Paul George and Kawhi just based on their drafts were projected to have better careers. The fact that Parsons is even in the convo is a testament to how hard he worked to be recognized as a good small forward in this league.

We had a chance to nab Kawhi instead we chose Marcus Morris...smdh. That is no one's fault but our own. And the Spurs with the next pick got a gem in Kawhi.

Parsons is better at banging. Better fashion. He had everything you like in a NBA player.

Not sure where Stephen was going with this. Seems it would make perfect sense to praise a greater system which allows a lesser player to flourish. Kevin isn't going outright say OKC's system is below par while he still plays for them.

What's ironic is that KD credits the "system" for Kawhi's production, yet that system doesn't feature or call plays for any individual player. It's a team oriented system that relies heavily on their depth and ball movement. On any other team Kawhi is playing 38 mpg and is actually having some plays ran for him, he'd actually be more productive. IMO

    Paul George, top 7-12 talent

    Kawhi Leonard, all-star potential

Chandler Parsons, slightly weaker than Leonard, overall

are you serious?? Dude just won MVP. He gave Durant and Lebron trouble. He's a elite defender that can impact the game. He's also a better and more consistent shooter than Parsons. The scary part is he's only 22 and has plenty of upside. Parsons is close to his ceiling in my opinion. Only thing Parsons has Kawhi beat is looks.. that's about it.

yup that kills me!! especially since I met Kawhi in person and had a rooting interest in him before he became all famous. I never expected him to be this good from watching him in college. It seemed like Jimmer Ferdette always killed us when we had Kawhi.. Funny how different their Pro careers have turned out.

Kawhi>>>>Parsons. Parsons is a mediocre defender. Kawhi is one of the best wing defenders in the league. Its not even remotely close.

    Interesting question:

Lets switch up Parsons and Kawhi, meaning lets put Parsons on the Spurs with their current squad and Leonard on the Rockets with their squad. Do you think both players develop the same, do they both end up where they are now? Sometimes its a matter of how you fit into a certain system and I simply don't think Leonard would be the guy he is now had he developed habits under Kevin McHale and been asked to do more than he was capable. Now that being said, Marcus Morris is a stiff...

Leonard and George are excellent defenders. Parson's defense is trash.

Offensively Parsons is on the same level of George, although both have strengths in different areas. Parsons is probably a lil better than Leonard offensively. I don't think Leonard is a future all star.

Overall though, George and Leonard are still better players than Parsons.

    Kawhi Leonard.

Bought into his breakdown on Draft xpress big time, had him hoping to fall too Houston and was ecstatic when he was on the board.

Love Parsons and he'd be a top 10 pick in a redraft but he may never be as athletic as Kawhi.

Too up and down on George for the max contract he'll get. Probably has a little more value than Kawhi but is also going to make 7-8 mil more per season.

If you want to stick around in enemy territory, rule #1 is to avoid necro-bumping threads just to add your dose of homerism.
