A backcourt of Parsons, Lebron and Beverley with Howard at the 5 makes us a lot better defensively... I don't see the rockets getting rid of Harden though.

I doubt he comes, but this team really makes the most sense if he envies what Duncan has in SA, which is the ability to play him less and extend his career. The team is ready to win now and Harden can eventually take the torch back.

I agree with us not looking to get rid of Harden... but we are talking about giving up Harden for LEBRON in that situation.

I don't get some opinions on clutchfans. We either want to trade Harden for a player who hasn't done anything (Love) or would not trade him for Lebron.

I don't think anyone is saying they wouldn't trade him for LeBron.

It's probably because we're not looking at options in a vacuum. In the real world, in the slim chance Lebron is interested in joining the Rockets, it's to form a newer and better Big 3. He's not agreeing to a trade where Harden is traded back to Miami... what would be the point? (see exception comment below)

In a hypothetical world where you can trade Harden for Lebron straight up, sure who wouldn't do that?

Exception: If you know for sure that Melo then comes and signs with you, and it is all "pre-arranged", sure. Lebron might be interested in that. Trade Harden, Asik, Lin and whatever to Miami. Get Lebron. Sign Melo. Lebron, Melo, Howard threesome works for me!

I wonder if a Lebron/Bosh trade for Harden/Asik/Parsons would make it more palatable for both teams & players. Miami can have Lin too if necessary.

Howard, Bosh, Lebron, Bev & Jerami Grant/KJ McDaniels would be a very good starting lineup - offensively AND defensively. Rockets would lose a lot of the depth on the bench however.

But I would rather go young (Covington, Daniels, Pappanikolau, D-Mo) than invest in Garcia & Casspi again. I'm on the fence with Hamilton.

Meant to say that Miami can have either one of TJ, Canaan or Lin if necessary. Would trade the 2 that Miami does not want for picks.

Plus the Knicks are looking for expiring contracts in a SNT that they would want for Carmelo. The draft will interesting once again this year for the Rockets. Will they be taking a player that they will eventually include in a trade?

Chris Mannix: They gotta find a way to move Lin and Asik. ... Nobody is in the mood to do Houston any favors. Nobody is trying to help Houston out because the way they've done business the last few years. I'm not sure they'll be able to do it.

Geez. What did we do that was so unforgivable? Are GMs just mad about the Lin/Asik signings or was there something else I'm forgetting?

I love how people act as if somehow Morey has done dirty and underhanded things. The NBA is a business first and foremost if teams feel they can improve themselves they will make a deal. No GM will purposely turn down something that he feels will make his team better out of spite to another GM over a couple of contracts.

Starting with the Tmac to NYK trade, then the Harden trade, then the Lin/Asik poison pills, then us getting Dwight = Jealous GMs

Stupid. A team will take Lin and Asik if it helps their team to become better, either by flexibility or cap room. A team that

I don't think things are that personalized. I remember when the Raptors (Grunwald) burned the Rockets in the Damon Stoudemire trade by leaking the details and allowing Portland to swoop in with a better offer, and the Rockets (Rudy, Carroll, etc) were reportedly extremely upset - but the Rockets kept on dealing with the Raptors/Grunwald and Portland in the short term because they felt it was advantageous to do so.

GMs probably only hold grudges if you leak trade talks. Which Morey doesn't do.
