Asking because I've been seeing a lot of vitrol and anger thrown at the Rockets, GM, players, etc. This is the best position we've been in for years. This is probably the best team since our championship team, what gives? Why are there so many haters?

The first 5 choices are your overall impression of the team, the last three options are additional factors.

Doh, should have replaced unhappy with cynical or optimistic with happy. :p

I am happy. I want them to win a championship, obviously, but I think we are in the conversation.

I'm pretty happy. 2 stars (maybe 3 in a few weeks), young roster, new coach coming in shortly, and not picking 14th every year. Still a ways away, but a lot of potential.

Oh and IB4 Carl Herrera bashes Harden...

year 1 of the dwight era was good. at least we know how he plays in the playoffs and that he's healthy and dependable.

"Hate" is a strong word. Can it be that I just dislike the coach?

Dissatisfied..... I do not buy all this talk about how they mesh so well.

They should have dominated the Blazers. End of story.

But neutral towards everything else. The picture in the West is still a tough one.

    dominated the Blazers?

    why?

do we have a better record then them by a wide margin? No

    it's a 4 vs 5 seed, not a 1 vs 8.

do we have more talent then them? debatable

do we have a superior coach then they do?

Dominate is what the Spurs did to the Heat.

You are living in fantasy island if you think the Rockets were that good to dominate the Blazers.

I'm disappointed that more people didn't mark "I love this team" that was answer #1 for me regardless of how good/bad we are. That should be the case for all fans!

There is no obligation to talk to you until next season. You got your wish. Spurs won.

You got the best Top 5 offensive talent and the best defensive Monster in half a decade.
    Go and figure.

When you cannot even dominate a young team like the Blazers, then you won't go far.

What make you hate a GM? And what does that feel like?

The thread is about the current situation and not about how we feel about the Rockets in general.

Oh, nevermind, it looks like CH was just looking for the "I hate this poll" button and ended up clicking on everything while he was looking for it...

Regardless of the negative aspects, I find great honor in us finishing 4th in the West. The record books will show that we competed in one of the most stacked conferences in history...as far as the future goes, we're bound to get an impact player in the offseason so honestly the sky is the limit. McHale is probably the only thing standing in our way. I voted "optimistic" but "I hate our coach" would be my second choice.

Definitely not happy or optimistic, just tired. Not happy because we just wasted an entire season. There's no positive spin on what happened. The Rockets lost to an inferior team despite having home court advantage. They made no progress from the previous season in terms of how far they got in the playoffs.

And I'm not optimistic because in the one area where the organization has complete control(the coaching staff), they decided to kick the can down the road and not deal with it. Which likely means the 2014-15 season will play out the same way as last year(i.e. another wasted season).

And I'm tired of this franchise accomplishing nothing. I don't even mean winning titles. Just a decent playoff run for God's sake. It's been nearly 2 decades already! We're approaching Chicago Cubs territory here where you almost expect nothing from this team going into every season. And this is not Chi-town, BTW. You can't get away with not being competitive in H-Town for very long and expect a packed arena every night. Just ask the Texans and Astros.

Seeing how Dallas & San Antonio both have won titles in the past 4 years one cant help but be dissatisfied.

The offseason has me cautiously optimistic with either way it can go.
