Klinsman knows Germany. We should shut them out. USA is driven to take this on Brasilian soil. We are playing in our time zone. And the journey begins.

Man, that heat is no joke. how many injuries in just one game? there were like 2 other players clutching at their legs that didn't get a sub. USA just didnt look like themselves. Even the most consistent player, Bradley, didn't look right.

A win vs Portugal and we're on to the knockout stages.

Cool. And the knockout stage is where they lost in 2010?

Realistically if we beat Portugal, we advance. If we tie Portugal and don't get completely destroyed by Germany then we still have a pretty good chance of advancing. If we get beat by Portugal, we'd have to beat Germany and that's not happening.

Do we even have a midfield??? Ghana was toying with us and controlled the game. We had absolutely no one playing in the middle.

Please stop celebrating injuries. Everyone here and even the folks on TV kept talking on and on about how things got easier for us because of injuries and ejection (Portugal). Came back to bite us. Everyone having a hamstring injury now...

    ....which begs the question.

How do our players train their hamstring??

We got the very valuable 3 points but I do not have a good feeling after this game moving forward into the tournament.

    No Altidore and no midfield.

Man...Ghana brought in the 2nd half...the US team hung in there after a tough 1st half Altidore getting hurt and Dempsey taking a shin to the face...great game...that was really fun to watch...

We need Altidore back first and foremost. However, I believe we will beat Portugal. Germany on the other hand, doubtful. Anything can happen though. I can't believe I am drunk at 7PM on a Monday night!!!

    USA!!! USA!!!

Making the knockout stages is a huge accomplishment in itself. Hope USA can get to R16. Anything more is just a cherry/frosting/naked woman on top!

Ghana controlled that entire game. What the hell was Bradley even doing out there? Just no possession, and yet a miracle header by a guy who would have never been in there had there not been an injury.

Always better to be lucky than good.
