Answering MoonBus's specific question. DO NOT read if you haven't read the books. Spoiler Book Shae is very different, and so is her relationship with Tyrion. Tyrion is always questioning whether she truly loves him or if she just loves his money. The show made it much more of a reciprocal relationship and played up the love angle to the 10th degree, which wasn't present in the books. Also, Tywin's reputation for being virtuous is much more developed in the books. He spends much time sneering and disapproving of Tyrion and whores in particular. So it's that much more hypocritical to Tyrion after seeing Shae in Tywin's bed. It's enrages him even further after seeing confirmation that Shae didn't love him. She meets the same end as a result.
Damnit cardpire, you stupid tool, your incessant whining and policing of spoilers is single-handedly ruining this thread for all of us!!! Nobody cares about spoilers besides you! Oh, wait...
The book info's howling like this swirling storm inside Couldn't keep it in, heaven knows they tried! Don't let them read, don't let them see Be the good reader you always have to be Conceal, don't tell, don't let them know Well, now they know! Viper's Dead, Arya's Left Can't hold it back anymore Let it go, let it go Turn away and unspoil that tag! I don't care What they're going to say Let the spoilers rage on, The hate never bothered me anyway!
what I find funny is that I went back a bunch of pages looking for a spoiler without actually finding a spoiler. I'm not sure where the last actual spoiler occurred? The ironic thing is that although there are not any spoilers in the last bunch of pages in this thread, the dominate topic continues to be about spoilers  I just found that really funny. By the way, the episode last night was really good. The ending was perfect IMO, with Arya finally free to chose her own destiny and not someones captive, ward or not actively running from someone.
I thought it was an excellent finale, really covered a lot of ground and had some massive moments throughout. That fight reminded of the They Live fight...
cheap finale, more like an epilogue. each of those scenes could have been distributed in the last 3 episodes. brianne vs hound victory at castleblack killing of tywin the verdict is.. Not really a show spoiler. Spoiler
better question: why would they give up looking for one of the girls that they traveled across the land to find, after maybe 10 seconds of trying to re-locate her, and, why in the world wouldn't they hang around for a minute and see if arya went to see if the hound could be helped?
i'm talking about arya. they seemed to basically ditch the scene after the hound got dumped over the cliff, when they didn't see her within an eyeshot of them.
I got the sense they were searching for her and she was hiding .It really didn't portray how much time had passed between the end of the fight and Araya going to the Hound . I was confused about what happened with that little kid in the Bran scene . Did the little kid lead them to that old man or did the kid turn into the old man ?
Pretty poor method of conveying Tyrion's motivations for killing his father. They didn't give up, they are still looking for her.
The kid said he/she was one of the "children" (children of the forest) and had been around far before the first men. He/she took Bran to the old dude who had been waiting for him, not turn into the old dude.
I wonder what's going to happen to ser gregor clegane, is going to be turned into a super- Bane like character?
I havent read the books past the first one (i hope to be caught up by the start of season 5 though) but I am guessing with the death of Tywin and the only one really interested in his health being Cersei - she probably will try to make him a puppet 'hand of the king' It will be interesting to see what happens as Cersei will not have to marry into the Tyrell family and Mommen will probably also not marry Margery. Varys deciding to leave though is really telling - he probably understands that with Tywin dead King's Landing is ripe for the plucking and that if anything its downfall is soon at hand. I did like the episode last night but I feel with so many story arcs that some do get shafted. There was very little done with Danerys last night - that arc seems to be stagnating. In contrast I really liked last week's episode that was solely focused on the happenings at the wall.
