What a horrible argument. Duncan has four finals MVP to Kobe's two. Shaq was the leader for Kobe's first 3 titles.

Duncan had Robinson for his first title and then had Parker and Ginobili for the next 4(plus Leonard for the most recent one). It's not like he's single-handedly carried the Spurs to their championships. And BTW, Duncan has 3 Finals MVPs, not 4. Parker won the MVP in 2007.

when someone that can win rings before, during and after their peaks of their career, then they're not in the conversation with Duncan. I'm just showing you how dumb your logic is
tim duncan has a legitimate argument to having a better career thab kobe. at the very least they're equal at this point. just as many rings as kobe more finals mvps than kobe more mvps than kobe tim duncan actually has a higher career PER and win shares PER 48 minutes than kobe too.

Actually I would like to point out the one issue that is the difference maker here. Kobe said that he wants to go for yet another championship. However, he demanded a salary that is crippling the Lakers efforts to get there. When Timmy's contract was up for extension, he showed that the team comes first here too. I don't think that Timmy is less important to his team than Kobe is for the Lakers. Actually I think he is much more important. I thank the Spurs for making basketball fun again. I can't tolerate the superstar ego centered hero-ball. I'm tired of these annual dramas of who is able to sign which superstar. Nobody goes after the Spurs players in the off-season, but when it comes to winning championships, they are on a different level. Watch Manu's presser. It says it all.
