A WCF would be nice. Heck I would settle for a few second rounds here and there. It has been 20 years since we made the WCF. Why does San Antonio get such a great team for such a long time. Duncan doesn't look like he is declining. Leonard is getting better? Some role player will step up. I Hope the spurs decline, but I don't see it. Tim Duncan has the same PER this playoffs as last playoffs. Morey needs to save us, but I don't see it.
Spurs never successfully defend their title. Rockets' road to the Finals is probably through OKC next year.
we beat them by not doubling, so their ball movement is negated. we have howard who can do some damage inside unlike chris anderson who couldn't seem to get even 1 offensive rebound tonite.
get rid of our gimmicky predictable offense for a real read and react system like the spurs have, and like we had under adelman. also, get a coach who understands strategy. also, get rid of asik and lin and use that money to build a strong 10 man unit. also, get harden to try to score rather than try to draw fouls which aren't called in the playoffs. and do that in the next 4 months.
The answer would be, win the series before facing them, then beat them as usual We're their Seattle, and like our Seattle, lost in the first round to a team they really shouldn't have.
Yes, but players always say that as a courtesy to the coach... They don't really mean it... Players, in truth, know very little of what the game of basketball is all about and what it takes to win it all... Me and my calculator know better than they do... /analyticsobsessedfan/GM
pretty much this. The spurs put a lot of work into establishing their system and place a great emphasis on players playing in it. The rockets FO doesn't even understand the importance of good coaching, discipline and execution...making a championship a farcry
and...you continue to be one of the most ignorant posters on this site. I see that most things go right over your head.
Hmmm... let's see here... They've kept the same core, which is united in their dedication to a strong system established by a strong coach, and helped maintain it by adding younger players around that core that fit the system... Which makes it easier...when it's anchored by that core... We accumulate assets, trade them away for better assets, never taking into account an asset's mentality/personality/maturity and how it can benefit or harm the culture/environment of the overall team.... and base it all around a predictable "system" helmed by an incompetent coach... Gee... I don't know how the Spurs do it.... and how we don't...
