That's why he's not leaving Miami. There is no team right now in the East that you'd pick to beat the Heat going into 2014-15. The Pacers could give them trouble, but that team is so volatile that Miami would still be the favorite going into the series. Now once Miami did get back to the Finals, they'd probably get crushed again. But it still makes more sense to stick with a team that could at least get that far with little-to-no opposition than to go someplace else where all bets are off.
Yea he's not coming here but it doesn't make sense. He should leave I can't really see how they are getting better. Especially if Ray Allen leaves.
Lebron is not dumb. He will make the best decision for himself and put his own success above all else as always. If Wade wants to be selfish, he'll leave. And Houston is always in the mix for FA's. At least since Harden came.
Lebron's best chance is to stay in the East... but he really needs help...I cant see him leaving Wade high and dry, but they all need to rework their contracts, and get deeper benches...
Why not? Honest question. They aren't getting any better, why not take the opportunity to leave for a team that could lead to some more championships for him? It would just be Cleveland all over again if he stays in Miami.
I'm telling you guys, Lebron is not dumb. He knows he could coast through the weak East and get trounced by a West team......It has just happened. If Wade doesn't opt out and take a paycut it would literally be a bad business decision to stay. Or at least re-sign.
We have a defensive guard and a slashing guard, the best center, and an explosive (offensively) guard. The current best player on the planet would do wonders here. Why not.
We swept the Spurs in the regular season and Lebron should considering to join the Rockets just base on that scenario.
Hell yeah i would want Lebron...here is another possibility...Bosh might opt out and not return too...we could go after Bosh.
Lol we wouldn't win ****. LeBron, Duncan(And/or all his great teammates), Durant and Chris Paul, Yes, Chris Paul will own the league for a few more years. You better get a one of the 3 (KD, CP3, LeBron) while you possibly can. Top 3 players in the NBA year in and out. Bosh would make us better but not championship level on either end.
honestly, i don't see wade opting out with him due 20mil next yr...but if he was chasing a ring, he should sign with rockets for $3mil and be our 6th man.
No chance he opts out, he'd never make the money he has guaranteed in Miami even if he played 5 more years elsewhere. Of the 3 I'm only interested in Lebron, Bosh would be an upgrade at PF, but nothing to get excited about.
lebron will definitely opt out. once morey gets done with him, lebron will be playing in the toyota center 41 games!
If wade opts in which is smart from a financial standpoint due to his health I can almost guarentee lebron leaves. Wade will go back to being their top option but I can see them rebuilding with a good team with smaller contracts and more depth. It will probably convince bosh to stay as well so he can go back to a more prominent role.
lebron stays in the east where he can sleep walk to the finals every year. then maybe get lucky with a good matchup or two in the finals for another couple of rings. i bet they all opt in. they would make it back to the finals next year. after that wade resigns for way less, they use that money to build a bench. keep making it back to the finals. by default if you make the finals 4 years in a row you should end up with 1 or 2 like they did. if they follow the model outlined above i think they make it back the next 3 years and maybe win 1 more by default.
