Mavericks weren't the 2nd best team. Spurs went to another level in game 7 against them and never came back down.

Rockets weren't the worst team. Bad coaching was a huge part of it. Bad officiating (I hate to say that) and a buzzer-beater contributed too.

Winning 5 titles over the course of 15 years(hell, just playing for 15 years) is an impressive accomplishment. But I think it's more impressive to win 3 straight like the Bulls did twice and the Lakers did once. And winning 5 titles in 9 years like the Showtime Lakers or 11 years like Kobe's Lakers is more impressive than 15.

If the Spurs want to be in the class of those other champions, let's see them defend their title next year and finally win 2 straight. Even the Rockets who the national media to this day never turns down an opportunity to p-ss all over and stick an asterisk next to their titles managed to win back-to-back championships.

I don't recall ever saying that Pippen is better than Duncan or Kobe.

to win 50+ games for 15 years and win the championship throughout his whole career and not just in a short span, shows how dominant he has been throughout the span of his career.

I hate SA too, but don't use weak arguments. Before this season, they'd never made b2b Finals appearances.

This series was really a "beat down." The Heat only won ONE game, barely. The Spurs blew them out in the others, home and away. All together shocking. LeBron = best player. Spurs = best team. It is as simple as that.

Basically he asked if Lebron has heard about all the swirling rumors concerning Melo connected to him and what he thought about them. He said something like 'even Chandler Parsons is talking about it'.

I love you Morey, but my goodness you had Leonard fall to your lap and you instead picked the wrong Morris twin.

I'm not saying he's not an all-time great, but he's not on the level of MJ, Kobe, or Magic. Not at the moment anyway. Successfully defending a title is something all of those guys did and Duncan has yet to do so.

My goodness lebron is a loser. There is no solace in reaching the finals in the east for 4 years after colluding. If you were in the west and won 2 of 4, it's a valid argument. The guy is just pathetic and way to eager to pat himself on the back despite his easy route plan not working.

I didn't say Leonard was a max player, just pointing out he is the MVP of the Spurs (along with TD). It's possible nobody on the Spurs is a "max" player by your definition.

How would you compare Kawhi to John Wall, who signed a max deal? What about Kyrie? Keep in mind "max" contracts coming after rookie contracts are artificially low. The issue is how much money is a player worth, not whether it fits the legal definition of "max".

It's reminiscent of the Pistons beating the Lakers in 2004. That one was essentially a sweep had it not been for Larry Brown's asinine decision to not foul intentionally at the end of regulation in Game 2. Miami did win Game 2 legitimately, but that's about all they did right in this series.

Alright football players, let's all move to Africa and win NFL games there. Even if we lose in the US , where competition is higher, we can still call ourselves "successful""... Wade and lebron are laughably avoiding accountability. But who would expect anything else. Congrats san antoniti!!!

    I don't hate SA.
I seriously don't see them doing this again. They literally played the best team basketball I have ever seen in my entire life at any level.

You have a lot of stupid posts. I can't even bother constructing a valid response to any of them.

You must admit that was an incredible shot by Kobe. But agreed the Pistons royally blew it by not fouling.

This had the feel of that series. Once the tide turned in game 3, the map was laid out and nothing was going to change it. It almost seemed like the Heat knew it.
