So wtf just happened. I thought Jojen was supposed to still be alive. Interesting turn. It seemed like in the books that Jojen was gonna die, but still....WTF

Yeah, that Brienne/Hound fight was pretty badass. Nice touch

Not really too surprised they decided to leave out Lady Stoneheart, they've been shying away from a lot of the more bizarre characters from the book.

Great Finale, even with the high exectations. Everything is set up pretty nicely for next season.

A Lady Stoneheart appearance would have been epic... I thought it was about to happen when the screen went black but the credits didn't appear. Imagine if they just quickly zoomed in on her face and then faded back into the credits. That would have been awesome .

    Whatever. Still a great finale.

They've given me hope that the show is just going to skip the Lady Stoneheart crap entirely and let Catelyn stay dead.

I do have issues with completely skipping the Tysha stuff. I understand it, since it hasn't even been mentioned since S01E09, but it's pretty important.

And I can't tell if it's an issue of bad CGI, or if it's just impossible to make animated skeletons look realistic.

Yeah I'm not expecting Stoneheart to show up at all. Think it'll just be the brotherhood without banners sans Stoneheart. If she's not in the opening episode of season five she ain't coming

Can't wait for Arya to start her training. Those were some of my favorite parts to read in the last two books

Yeah to me Arya was by far the most interesting part of the last 2 books.

I expect HBO knows that, and given the characters popularity I expect her to be extremely prominent next season.

Am I the only one who was extremely underwhelmed by the Twin-Tyrion? The scene with Brann at the Weirwood tree was just meh and a pretty big deviation from the book. The Jon and Mance meeting also felt somewhat empty considering how little we've seen of Mance or ANY wildlings for that matter. Arya and the Hound was a shining light in a rather poorly executed season finale. Am I in the minority here when saying that this "Grand" Finale that HBO promised us just didn't stack up to Season 1 or 2's finale?

I thought the whole wall story was poorly handled in this episode. Considering they spent a whole episode last week, I thought the whole battle should have been finished then, the Stannis attack had no momentum the way it was done.

Other than that it was great. I loved the Bran scene, probably the only scene of theirs I've enjoyed since winterfell. I'm not sure what people expected from Tyrion/Tywin, it was fine to me.

    Arya/Brienne/Hound was spectacular.

Haven't read the books so I'm curious what's the purpose of briennes story line? To me it just seems like filler that doesn't need to be shown.

I'm assuming she will meet up with Lady Stoneheart next season and be charged with delivering Jaime's head.

We don't know what GRRM has is store for the last two books, so I think it's way too early to assume they're going to dismiss Lady Stoneheart completely.

I know most of us already had this theory (and it might be so obvious and widely believed that you can't really even call it a theory anymore), but tonight kind of added confirmation for book readers that Ser Robert Strong is really The Mountain.

I loved Melisandre's look at Jon Snow through the flames, her first look at Azor Ahai.

Definitely a bit underwhelmed by this finale. Not that it wasn't good but it wasn't "best episode of the show to date" good like the show runners kept promising. They really just had too much to cram into one episode. Tyrion killed off Shae so fast it almost didn't feel real. They didn't really even say a word to each other. I agree with others on the Wall bits. Mance is pretty much a non-entity when Jon meets with him. Arya/Hound/Brienne stuff was handled well. I'm quite glad, actually, that the Tysha stuff was left out. I can't endure a season or two of watching Dinklage ask people where whores go.

Pretty irritated that Stoneheart didn't make an appearance. I guess Lena Headey was just screwing with all of us book readers on her Instagram. The thing is, I really haven't a strong idea of how important Lady Stoneheart is because we haven't really gotten that far yet in the books. It could very well be leaving her out of the show entirely is a good move. More likely season 5 will focus more on the supernatural elements of the show. Stoneheart back to life, Bloodraven teaching Bran, The Mountain's resurrection.

Still think it would have made for a perfect cliff hangar THIS season, though.

I find it a bit odd that they spent time going into A Dance With Dragons but didn't finish the material in A Storm of Swords. John becoming Lord Commander is a big thing in the books.

I loved the look on Varys face when he hears the bells ringing outside of Kings Landing and then decides to just get on the boat.
