Would you take 5, count'em 5, second rounders in this draft?

I should have been clearer. I didn't mean our track record involved misses. I was implying those guys never end up being useful to us. Lull may become a great talent, but if he doesn't come over, the pick is basically a waste. For one reason or another, these guys don't come over. I sunny want to blame the FO for it without proof, but part of assessing those guys at draft time is succesfully gauging how likely they are too come to the NBA. Perhaps Houston hasn't done that well enough.

I can't see Lin or Asik getting traded before the draft. Morey probably wants to retain the flexibility to trade both of them as part of a Melo sign and trade to get Melo $5 million more in starting salary, plus keep all of our exceptions and bench depth.

25 yr old, international, rookie manu was on the bench in favor of stephan jackson in 01. 3 yrs later, denver offered manu 52m, the spurs matched and moved quietly. This theory of 3 superstars is a farce. The spurs never had 3 superstars, neither did the phil jackson laker title teams. The rockets like most smart organizations need player development. This whole melo thing is dumb with a D. The rockets have a championship core, they need a few more quality pieces, better coaching, and maturation.

When 3 star teams meet 2 star teams, history has almost always favored 3 star teams.

Instead of stockpiling a horde of 2nd rounders, maybe Les should consider purchasing a 1st round lottery pick this draft. Embiid may fall due to his injury.

This isn't football. Most of those second rounders will probably be free agents soon enough.

I don't think this team is looking at getting any younger as they were the youngest playoff team this season. They probably keep their current picks and add some veterans to the roster, but trying to aquire 5 second rounders is insane.
