He needs to for them to have a chance. He needs to get the Spurs respect him on defense and not allow Leonard to just guard him 1v1. 25pts on 17/18 shot attempts won't do it. He needs to be aggressive to open it up for his struggling team mates. He needs to aim 35+ pts so Spurs throw some defensive help to cover Lebron. Last 2 games, Kawhi's great defense + Lebron's passivety in 3 quarters of each game allowed Spurs to cover everyone else in the Heat team.
Yea, at this point, Lebron has to realize his teammates aren't going to offer much support so he has to try to own the game. Wade looked great in the Indiana series but the Spurs' style of play is wreaking havoc on his knees. It's non-stop movement on the offensive end, tires him out on D, and leaves him nothing on the offensive end. His best games are against the kinda teams that play more iso-ball or just dump it down to their big man in the post. I don't know what's up with Bosh... he's healthy and still in his prime. He SHOULD be a superstar but he's just disappearing on both sides of the court. More than any other Heat player, Bosh just confuses me. The Heat need LJ to have a monster game to have a chance.
Always fascinates me how narrative and actual facts clash. Fans were up in arms arguing that Joey Crawford meant a Heat win. Even though Joey is the most anti home crowd favoring ref and this - Kinda terrifying to see how narrative clouds judgment.
The point was not Joey is always for Bron, the point was Joey is the NBA's cleaner used to enforce the front office wishes.
I really want SA to win this Finals, but I really do think Miami could come back and win it. They could fit the bill for the first team to come back from down 3-1. Very few, if any, teams that have ever been down 3-1 are as talented as the HEat
Closing out the series is the hardest thing of them all. SA have looked vulnerable at home. If Miami wins Game 5, then winning Game 6 will become a realistic proposition. I wouldn't be surprised, if it goes to a final game. Spurs have the edge, but Miami isn't out of it.
Yeah but one less cramping incident and Heat could have won both SA games. I'm not counting them out at all, no matter how much I want the Heat to lose in 5
I would be really surprised if miami is even in the game tomorrow. Spools tra is being exposed, he needs to make drastic changes.
Rose's ad campaign: "Basketball is everything" LeBron's new ad campaign: "It's basketball... It's just basketball."
I was hoping for Spurs in 4 and EXPECTING Spurs in 5 (see my vote) Hopefully they take care of business tonight
