Why are we even discussing unloading Omer Asik?

Wow, you clearly have reading comprehension issue. The post from 8 days ago was a knock on LOFs and people saying that the only way to win is to trade asik with Lin. Learn to understand satire before posting insulting lines in big and bold letters and using basic search functions to look up old posts. And posts getting locked up doesn't say anything about anything other than the over censorship that goes on here.

Omer definitely wanted out, but once the trade deadline passed, I think he just accepted that he won't be traded for a few months and just concentrated on performing the best he can, that's why you still see him celebrating with the team in the playoff wins (and I noticed T-Jones barely did).

LOL at the heavy delusion of people thinking that Rockets would be anywhere close of beating the Spurs.

Your ignorant thread made me wanna comment as fast as I could, so my thumb hit the submit button on accident... I guess you can say its a "fail"

But not nearly as bad as you not seeing the need to trade Asik...

Also, you know "lolololol" means "laugh out loud out loud out loud out loud" right?

    Idiot!

It does matter because he can just walk away after next year so, what, you can show money of a big shot you are by having him under contract for one more year? Makes no sense.

Playoffs are about matchups, and who knows what would have happened. The Rockets matched up well with the Spurs, but didn't matchup well with the Blazers. It's actually delusional to just accept the Spurs would have rolled in the series just because you jumped on the latest bandwagon because the Spurs are beating Miami. I bet that if the Spurs had lost to OKC or Miami then people would be posting different things. Water under the bridge now.

There's a huge difference between rockets disjointed iso offense and lackluster defense and spurs surgical precision on both ends of the court. Their success has nothing to do with "match-ups", they successfully adapted to any situation they were in. Until rockets get a half competent coach, who'll implement a diverse complex offense, demand accountability on defense and be a capable of active in game adjustment, they're not beating any of the top teams, especially the spurs.

Or maybe, just maybe they were bad threads AOF.

Good thing you are not Morey. Asik and Lin will be gone before the end of the month.

That's ok if you don't think the lack of Ibaka, followed by the effect of Ibaka, followed by Bonner/Diaw being used to drag Ibaka away from the rim were matchup effects in the Spurs Thunder series, you'd be completely wrong, but sure, go ahead and think that.

The Spurs were a better team, when they just chucked it to a younger Duncan and let him post up forever and a day (back when everyone hated how boring they were?), they are what they are today out of necessity, not because they feel that it's a better way to win than the one that got 4 titles already.

Exactly, but it was an adaptation by pop in reaction to Ibaka, not their primary lineup in the regular season (Tiago - Duncan) and the first couple of rounds of the playoffs. Matchups don't matter when you're flexible enough and have the personnel to adapt, and the spurs do. That's why it's pointless to talk about potential matchups that would favor the rockets.

He's a fat, lazy b**** whose me-first attitude cost us a lot of games. BY whining for 6 months instead of training, when his number finally got called he couldn't make it up and down the court for more than a few minutes. That, combined with his butter fingers, was unforgivable. I was a HUGE Asik fan, now he can kiss my ass.

Will Parsons back up Howard or maybe DMo? If not they better worry about more than just Carmelo coming over this summer. Howard can't play 48 mins a night

We will get cap space when he walks no matter what.

I think it's better to use his talents in making a run at a championship rather than try to get something we really don't need.

We tried to trade and couldn't get anything we needed. Why get melo now if we need defense rather than offense.
