I don't agree with Yung-T about Costa Rica but brah, I believe he watches more soccer than you do. You obvy don't keep up with the Soccer threads in here.
Swore I would never get hype/emotional/ care for England in a major tournament again(after 2010 and a lifetime of major tournament emotional destruction) but damnit...I...Can't...Help...Myself.... COME ON ENGLAND!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! COME ON ENGLAND!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Haven't said too much about them. Played refreshing in the second half and showed great spirit and aggressiveness. But still, you can't deny that they had some huge lapses in the first half that would've cost them vs experienced opponents. Not saying they are a crap team, just being real. Uruguay helped them by only scoring one goal, other opponents would've scored the 2:0 and the game would've been over before Costa Rica could gain confidence.
Uruguay coach said he's not surprised, team hasn't practiced on a level that made him confident they would win vs such an opponent. This team must be in shambles, wow.
Are you from Italy or do you speak Italian? Need some help, details here: http://bbs.clutchfans.net/showthread.php?t=255413
Same with their defense. teams like Uruguay and Spain missed the right moment for integrating their young talents, too much relying on old and experienced players that were successful in the past but are not what they used to be.
English defense has been laughable. Massive holes between midfield and their back line. They paid the price.
Interestingly, the last time the US played both of these teams in world cups, they ended in ties (2010 vs. England, 2006 vs. Italy)
Love the fact that the reds are so heavily represented on the English side... What a goal by sturridge! I agree that England's speed on the wings is presenting real problems for Italy.
