Ugh. I didn't want to try the Alpha because I was planning on being busy this weekend. Then I get an email from Amazon. "Dear Amazon.com Customer, You have been invted to participate in the Destiny First Look Alpha on PS4." Well there goes my plans I guess.
Is it smart to get a PS4 right now? I'm sitting on a PS3. Gamestop is offering $150 credit if you trade in a PS3 towards a 4. And that Destiny bundle with the white 4 is looking supah shmexy. But I don't think exactly need the 4 right now, since, aside from Destiny, I don't think there are many games that interest me currently.
I love my PS4. Destiny beta will be even bigger than the alpha and is on July 17th. Up to you though, you need to decide if it's right for you.
If I didn't have a PS4 already I'd be all over that White PS4 Destiny bundle. I'd go for it. I personally still have my PS3 tho. So many free digital games from ps plus that I still have yet to play
NO! No. No no no no no no no. Ugh. I was never that big on Destiny. It seemed interesting, but MMOFPS didn't seem that interesting to me. I did like parts of the universe they were setting up, as well as some of the art design though. I did preorder the game just so I could potentially get into any beta (or alpha), but I actually planned on cancelling my preorder closer to release. But after playing the alpha for a bit, I think I'm sold. It is a little rough in some spots, and I'm now wishing they ditched the 360 and PS3. That said, I think I will spend a lot of time with this game (and enjoy it all). I'm actually planning on being out of the country shortly after its release. Hmm...that's going to be fun. Debating whether I should put anymore time into the alpha. I won't get to play much more today, and it will be over tomorrow afternoon, right? Oh well, I got a nice tease.

I was a little skeptical after all of the "blah" publicity from certain outlets, but I believe in Bungie at this point (they're a tier 1 developer, imo). With that said, after finally getting my hands on it all of the skepticism is gone. It's a very beautiful game, I too wonder what it would be like if it were next gen or even a PS4 exclusive. Destiny 2 should be incredible.
Those bosses are hard as hell though, and I wish it didn't cap you at level 8 for the Alpha(oh well). Have y'all fought the purple eye thingy yet? That thing was a pain in the ass. So much fun though
