Let us not forget, Spain had their years of supreme glory, but at the end of the day they are a one star team. Winning a World Cup is an amazing feat, but what separates amazing soccer countries from international soccer ROYALTY is MULTIPLE World Cups.

Robben's volley that Casillas blocked. What a strike... Could have been a hat trick.

I see a bunch of Spanish has-beens honestly.

Silva was the only one really out there doing work.

Casillas' only save of the match came on probably the most impressive strike of the World Cup so far. Go figure.

Iniesta wasn't doing too bad either.
Opened up a couple of chances for Spain to strike, but no result.

Robben is criminally underrated. I'd take him over CR7 any day.

Iniesta had a few moments, but who was going to finish up top? Costa was more interested in fighting and everyone knows Torres is a b****.

You still saw flashes of brilliance by Iniesta, but the rest of the team was a complete no-show. Adding Diego Costa to this team was a complete mistake.

Ultimately though, of all the teams that might be waiting to give the death blow to Spain, it's probably Argentina. After watching Brazil bumble**** their way to a win yesterday, and then witnessing the Dutch scrape Spain off their shoes today, they must feel like this a great chance to dethrone the champs, and begin their own reign of terror.

LOL... Today's Robben was as good as any. As good as the best player in the world, but I'll take CR7 since he's still a class above almost every other day.

Robben's weak foot is terrible. One glaring reason he won't ever be considered the BEST in my book.

    Shhhh...

You are trying too hard to show that you are knowledgeable about this sport.

    It is back firing.

No one is talking about Daley Blind? His passes are on point to strike.

I don't see Brazil as weak as everyone else does. Croatia is a very solid team. Brazil has the pure attacking power to take out anybody, make no mistake about that.

Argentina has that godly group of attackers, but they have a very pedestrian midfield and a good but not great group of defenders. They desperately need Messi to really make the most of his chances.

Netherlands just made some serious noise. With Robben / RVP playing like that on the counter, they could easily take down Brazil.

With today's result, it'll be a miracle if Spain tops their group. That means they'll probably play Brazil in the round of 16.

I honestly think Brazil would have preferred to play Holland. This sets up for quite a match up in the round of 16. Many people thought we would see Spain vs Brazil in the final. (Of course Germany, Argentina, etc are strong candidates)

Glad I watched this match. Pretty historic in that is the worst defeat by a reigning champion. Pretty memorable game.
