LeBron got to the finals with a worse supporting cast. Tracy played with a fellow allstar and couldn't even break the first round. Irrational LeBron haters everywhere.
Well... yeah. Except the difference was it was a seven game series. It's not like Ray Allen hit a lucky ass shot and then the Spurs blew them out the next game. The Spurs got better, the Heat got worse. That's pretty much it.
Why? Is there some imaginary rivalry between Miami and Houston? Seems a lot of Rocket fans seem to think so.
Anyways. LeBron definitely deserves the blame. If his teammates are failing he should be chucking 30 shots a game. If you took LeBron's talent and gave him Westbrook's fire (I swear his passion is Jordan/Kobe like) LeBron might not be the most efficient player, but he'd have more than two championships right now.
I was sympathetic when he was in Cleveland, because he truly carried a bunch of scrubs. But to hear people say the same "he needs more help" excuse NOW, makes me laugh...because isn't that why he went to Miami in the first place and got 2 rings in 3 years.
Spurs has made some adjustments defensively in this game, especially on how they quickly collapsing and helping against Wade, including Leonard who is allowed by the Heat to leave Lebron even when Lebron is running to the paint. Lebron needs to attack more and stop being so damn passive. Basically his allowing Spurs to just give him 1 on 1 defense with Leonard, while at the same time Spurs are helping on both Wade and Bosh (and that includes Leonard).
There isn't much Spoelstra can say at this point. Wade is playing like a piece of trash. Chalmers still hasn't found his head. Bosh scored 8 points early, then zip afterwards. Rashard Lewis isn't playing way above his head to make up the difference. While LeBron can't go in hero mode too early, 7 shots isn't nearly enough when the rest of his team no-shows. Most of all, the Heat effort on defense just doesn't cut it. If they don't start putting out hard on defense, the ball game is over. On the other side, unlike game 3, I didn't get the feeling the Spurs expended 48 mins worth of energy in one half. Tonight, TP wasn't dead on his feet with 5 mins left in the 2nd quarter. There is no reason to think they will tire in the 2nd half. LeBron probably has to go in awesome mode and hope a teammate wakes up. Maybe Ray Allen. Plus, they have to defend.
Can't believe you guys are throwing Wade under the bus. Watch the replays and look at how much focus he gets defensively because Lebron is allowing Leonard beat him defensively by being passive.
It would be silly if LeBron needed more help two years ago, but Wade has clearly aged. I think this roster is worse than the T-Mac Yao roster we had. The way this series has went: Alston > Chalmers T-Mac > Wade Battier < LeBron Scola = Lewis Yao > Bosh
