This has nothing to do with this thread... I just think it's a funny picture:

Scola would of made an excellent Spur. I'd still like to see Scola in a spurs jersey, him and Ginobili would make the ultimate Argentinian team off the bench.

You know who value cogs in their machine?

    The Spurs.

Leonard, Diaw, Green, Splitter, Mills... Their cogs help them win even when their aging stars sit. They choose the right guys-- from Duncan down--, set the right tone, and either keep their cogs or replace them with high character cogs when needed.

You don't even get the idiocy of your posts which is what makes arguing with you useless. But for giggles, please go back through the evolution of their team and watch how their key players have stayed but role players have been interchanged. It's the system, familiarity and foundation. It's in dealing with Parker's early struggles and the limitations in manus game. It's in filling around the weakness of your stars (and they all have weaknesses doofus). It's in patience and sticking to a plan. Something that I trust Morey to do. Something you would blow looking for the next quick fix.

And before you go there, yes Morey has continually looked for an upgrade in talent. But that was when he didn't have premier talents at multiple positions. Now with harden and Howard, it's about upgrading around, balancing deficiencies, and providing stability from the top.

But you continue to knee jerk in the offseason. After no games have been played by all but two teams. When no valid alternative is on the table. And you argue a winner for a loser but don't see the stupidity because you're more concerned with phallic references.

I've watched this play out with DD before. I had hoped that it was over with him but you've decided to invoke dd along with gaters vitriol and macbeths penchant for exaggeration. We'll played hater, you've scored a royal flush of stupidity.

The Spurs seem to always get the best out of all their non-star players. I don't completely buy the "stability" argument because they have gone through significant changes of their rosters throughout their 3-star 10 years span.

Maybe it has a bit to do with the type of players they keep, how they utilize them, their system (which has changed significantly over the past 10 years). But I think the insistent of EVERYONE playing within their system (with great effort, defense, movement, etcs) or get out of here by their coach maybe the biggest part of it.

That's the biggest negative I have on McHale. He can't get his team to play his system with consistent effort and he treat players differently.

There was a time that they were eclipsed by the Lakers, Memphis Grizzlies and other 'Spurs' killers in the playoffs.

The spurs stadium still sucks, however I like that they don't change their uniforms .
Les Alexander ruined a classic uniform.
