You know it isn't the same thing. When Lebron and Bosh joined Dwade they literally had this attitude of "This is going to be too easy HAHAHA!" Whereas, with Boston (or we can even go all the way back to Dream, Barkley, Drexler or Kobe, Malone, Payton, Shaq) it was always a question of "Can they do it?" They were free agents so whatever but that doesn't change the fact that it was an incredibly lazy and selfish move on their part.
lol... IF... its not even a chance thing, the Rockets are so far behind as a system and team that its nearly impossible. Unless PB goes around and breaks everyones knees, the only way i see the Rockets with any chance is an entirely new system.
Spurs are largely successful due to sucking at the right time- i.e. getting the #1 seed in '97. Boston fans generally only love their teams, not necessarily the sport. This is evidenced by their viewer ratings after their teams are eliminated. Sore losers As much as I blast Harden, it would be foolish to trade a young All-NBA 1st Teamer for a couple of role players.
Stephen A is a f'n clown putting blame on chalmers instead of lelayup who disappeared after the 1st quarter. Also bosh was trash...then says wade isnt healthy but wasnt saying that the 1st 2 games...what an idiot
I've always thought that F'in A Smith speaks the truth because he screams above everyone's voice and emphasizes every word.
But he does commercials for Oberto jerky where hes camped out in players bellys. This should count for something!
I always thought the reason why there are such things as trades and salary caps is to help balance out the league and prevent teams like the NY Yankees. The Miami heat set out to counter that and they did just that. this is part of the reason why they have a cakewalk to the finals every year. It should come as no surprise that they receive hate because of it.
It was neither lazy and how in the world was it selfish. Yea sacrificing stats for a ring is completely selfish
The first principle of basketball that I ever learned was "every time you pass the ball the other team's defense must reset…….pass the ball!" The Spurs do that very well.
Not really. Both are mediums to acquire talent...that's all. Are you arguing that the Heat haven't helped to develop LeBron and Bosh after they signed them (Wade was drafted). There are 3 ways to get players. Draft, trade and free agency. If you acquire a player by either method then you earned the right to have them. And since the Spurs foundation is built around Duncan, who they tanked to draft, SA isn't the franchise to point to for earning something or taking the morality high ground.
Huh? Boston was the overwhelming favorite to win the title once they were formed. Everyone did think it was going to be easy. The only difference is they didn't have a parade after the signings.
Joining up with 2 other stars was the easiest route to winning a title for LeBron which could be viewed as laziness. And him stacking the odds in his favor has basically made the East a one team race for the last four years which isn't that fun for the fans but has probably been lots of fun for him which can be viewed as him being selfish. I wouldn't have used those terms to describe his actions but I think they somewhat fit depending on how you look at the situation.
He probably thinks that because the reason for the salary cap in the NBA is to prevent super teams. Getting 3 max players was only possible for the Heat because Wade/Bosh/LeBron likely came to an agreement to make it happen.
" Ramos: You're here, you've finally got all the cash you could ever want. You've made it. Yet at the same time you're hopelessly trapped, surrounded by those you hate the most. And there's no way out. How did it get to this? Do you think you should have planned better, or is the fact you needed to do something like this to get money indicative of a failed upbringing combined with an inability to make considered choices and exhibit fair-to-average judgment that doomed you from the start? Bank Robber: [Executes hostage, kills self.] " <iframe width="560" height="315" src="//www.youtube.com/embed/bhCJ3eQ8kRo" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe> Clearly the MVP of game 3.
I think Lebron found an easier situation than Cleveland but a situation that wasn't really any easier to what other greats were faced with.
Dan Gilbert and his crew had no idea of how to put a team around Lebron. That became clear right now with Irving as well. They are terrible.
