I'm going to guess the last scene will be Arya on a boat heading to Braavos then a quick flash to lady Stonehart just before the credits.
I predict the finale will have both Tywin's death and the first appearance of Lady Stoneheart, something to get people talking for next season. No idea if Stannis will show up.
things that should happen: 1. stannis saves the wall 2. bran meets the children of the forest 3. tywin and shae are killed 4. tryion sets said across the narrow sea 5. arya sets sail for braavos 6. lady stoneheart appears anything else?
They definitely needed to show more of the Wildlings. Did they even mention that Mance was a former Night's Watchman? Surely he'd know where the other castles are .. . why not attack them? Rocket River
That's a good question. In the book didn't Mance have an artifact (horn) he was going to use to bring down the wall? But he was only going to use it if absolutely necessary since he wanted the wall up for protection against the Walkers once they crossed to the other side.
Some kind of horn . . .which is what I was expecting more when I heard the horn sound. Some of the story lines. . . have come to a point of just passing time. Bran's story line was very long and drawn out for no reason it seemed at times as someone stated all of Sansa's stuff is done from the books I have little interest in Brienne, Even Khalisi is boring now. . . . I guess I just need another book soon .. . . all his fans may die off waiting for it! [or lose interest in it] Rocket River
Jon meets with Mance prior to Stannis attacking I'm assuming that they won't have time to do the lord commander election this season; even having Jon and Stannis meet at all may have to wait. jaime and tyrion, will they keep the Tysha story? Cersei Varys and Jaime help Tyrion escape and he kills Tywin and Shae Brienne (perhaps vs the Hound?) Hound and Arya, Hound "dies", Arya heads for Braavos Dany, perhaps dragon eats the kid, tying in with episode title. I don't think there should be any more Bolton, Greyjoy, Sansa/Littlefinger scenes, but there could be some more original time fillers from other characters. I can't think of anything else that HAS to be covered, but I still think Lady Stoneheart is a possible cliff hanger.
i think it has to do with access through the wall, not sure if it has been mentioned in the show but i believe the gate at castle black is the only one large enough to fit the wildlings through in a timely manner
Mance doesn't bring up the Horn of Winter until Jon goes to treat with him. So we're not to that point yet. Mance offers to trade the horn for safe passage through the wall, but before the Night's Watch can decide whether to accept or not, Stannis arrives.
I wonder how they'll handle another child actor aging over the next three years. It's worse because this is supposed to be a Child of the Forest that doesn't age like humans. If there aren't a ton of scenes with her, it would be great if they filmed all they needed with her at the same time, though that isn't likely. I'm thinking the second to last scene is Tyrion v Tywin and the final one is a quick Lady Stoneheart. That would be epic. I just hope my fear that another season ends on Dany isn't realized. That would be such a waste. So my prediction, two scenes with Arya (the second being her heading to Braavos). Jon's interaction with Mance being the first scene, Stannis saving the day being the second in the middle to final third of the ep. Dany locking up the dragons could be right after that. Bran being the third to last scene just before Tywin and the brief Lady Stoneheart scene. A guy can hope at least. This one should be loaded.
That's exactly what I'm hoping for. It would be incredibly awesome. Everyone would be shocked after Tywin's death, and then Lady Stoneheart's appearance would almost be too startling for the audience to handle.
Bloodraven would be a nice surprise. We heard him calling out to Bran during one of his greenseer visions. My guess is they'll save him for next season. I don't think they meet him until midway through ADwD.
