Wow. What is the soonest that we can get him in the minors? Kid just pitched a high-school season. I wouldn't mind giving him some time off. If he is as good control wise as Lunhow suggest, he should shoot up the minors and possibly be a September call up next year.
He would have just turned 19 by September of next year, that would be pretty crazy if he made it that fast. He does sound like someone that will make it quickly though.
Round 38, Pick 1126: Michael Foster, 2B, Northeastern 54 games, .299/.369/.394, 3 HR, 36 RBI, 38 R, 22 BB (5 HBP), 27 K, 18 SB (3 CS), .763 OPS As a pitcher: 12 relief appearances, 2-1, 5 saves, 2.45 ERA, 18.1 IP, 16 H (1 HR allowed), 11 R (5 earned), 6 BB, 16 K, 1.22 WHIP, .225 opponent average MLB.com:

They won't rush him. Would expect him in QC next year though and CC by 2016. Push for a rotation spot in 2017 at the slender age of 20.
Any money saved on Aiken will likely go to Nix and Deetz. I assume they made a tenative agreement with Deetz prior to making him the 1st day 3 pick. He was ranked #140 in MLB's top 200. It'll take more than $100K to bring him in. After his overage and paying Nix (who likewise, I assume there is a handshake agreement in place), there is unlikely to be any money left for Marshall. It appears this regime makes picks in Round 1-11 only if they are certain to get the player signed. If the Astros truely though they had more of a chance w/ Marshall, they would have likely picked him earlier in the day (since w/ each round that passed there was a chance he'd be picked as a lottery ticket by another team).
Round 39, Pick 1156: Brad Antchak, SS, Northeastern Oklahoma A&M 40 games, .295/.417/.462, 2 HR, 29 RBI, 37 R, 26 BB (3 HBP), 13 K, 16 SB (5 CS), .879 OPS
Also, though Deetz was ranked #140, I think I saw elsewhere that his mullet alone was ranked Top 100.

And finally, the Astros close out the 2014 Draft with.... Round 40, Pick 1186: Alex Hernandez, 2B, Miami. 63 games (61 starts), .248/.312/.304, 25 RBI, 25 R, 19 BB (2 HBP), 33 K, 3 SB (2 CS), .616 OPS
