Probably couldn't get a handle on the money needed to sign the players they like. No need to worry though. There are plenty of high-risk, signability issue picks they can make on day 3. The Astros will most certainly spend all their money.
It would make sense to negitiate with the highest upside talent available and work their way down to see who they can afford. Another high upside HS player is what I hope for but we shall see.
So with the amount of college players drafted, what are the odds the Astros try to lure J.B. Bukauskas or Keith Weisenberg with whatever is left over for Aiken (and maybe plus 5% of bonus pool)? That would nearly be 2.5 million assuming 6 million for Aiken, everyone else signs slot, and Astros exceed bonus pool by 5%.
