Funniest is thing is the writer says, i'm from the Bay Area and that may scream homer but guys trust me I'm not, here are a select few stats that put Curry above Harden. Ignoring the fact that Curry has Andre Iguodala to guard the tough match ups regardless of position. As great as Beverly was defensively he is not AI2 and he usually stuck to the PGs.
I thought the same thing when i saw he was a 1st teamer... Im not sure he deserves that praise yet. But if CP3s flopping ass is on the team i have no problems
So many words to say "he plays bad defense and I don't like his style". Not impressed, Carl. If you want to make your point that you don't like Harden, I think you should cite a better source than this.
Hilarious that a guy who says style shouldn't matter then wastes 2+ paragraphs whining about stuff he just admitted is irrelevant. This is complete garbage. Hit piece. Yawn.
so another year james gets to be an underrated all star. only makes it easier, thx espn. as if the sg competition isnt weak enough lol
Harden may be AWOL on defense but he absolutely deserves first team selection, his offense was just that good.
Lolol Harden is getting hate! Just how the media works; calling someone a bonafide superstar one day and a "cynical Lance Stephenson" the next. Just so funny! I'm not here to defend Harden with blind eyes because I see how much he needs to improve and how his attitude needs to change if he and the Rockets ever hope in winning a championship anytime soon. People tend to only look at how the season ended rather than the season as a whole. Yes, Harden had a bad playoffs and I can see how that rubs people the wrong way and effects their perception of him today. But there is no doubt that Harden had a very good season which was on par with a 1st All NBA selection. Harden started off the season on a horrible slump. Wasn't he shooting under 40% from the filled and 29% from deep the first month or so of the season. The fact that he brought up the averages to 46% and 36% is pretty amazing. From mid-February till the end of the season he played like an MVP candidate almost every night. In month of March, didn't he average 29ppg, 5rpg, 7apg, 2spg, on 49/42/87 shooting? And February and April were close to those marks as well. He constantly carried and brought back the Rockets on multiple occasions. There's a reason why he was selected 5th in the MVP race, and it has nothing to do with being a shooting guard and such. I don't understand what's the point of articles like this or the Lowe Tweet about picking Harden but not being happy about it. I get that Harden defense and overall attitude toward the game need so improve, but there should be no denying his talent for the game.
He just made All nba 1st team... if anything he's being overrated... this changes nothing... This article merely expresses an opinion that is that of the minority of NBA fans, and the NBA media, not the majority....
