Good to see I'm not the only one. I'll give it one more episode. Da vinci's demons gives me a little steampunk vibe and more entertainment. One just has to accept that davinci is indiana jones/horatio caine/batman on steroids.
Well, now we just met Dr. Van Helsing, so the show is obviously not through introducing new characters. And my money is still on the consumption-girl to end up dying and becoming the new Bride of Caliban.. which would then introduce a fun dynamic between Chandler and Frankenstein when that little truth is finally revealed.. Still not sure about Chandler.. clearly there is SOMETHING going on with him, the way he calmed those wolves.. but the way he reacts with revulsion to violence of any kind, it seemed as though it may have been about to drive him into losing his mind and turning into the Big Bad Wolf.. but then, he hangs with Proto-Bieber, and instead of wolfing out, he was just.. horny for another guy? OK it's an interesting world, but the secrets are being doled out painfully slowly. But that's ok too, because there isn't much to watch in the dog days of summer anyway..
I'm right there with you. This show lost me quickly. It's sooo..... sllllloooooooowwww.... I now call it it Dreadfully Slow. But these aren't new characters! ...Frankenstein? ...Dorian Gray? ...Van Helsing? ...Vampires? THEY'RE ALL PLAYED OUT So basically, it's Once Upon a Time (where they include EVERY fantasy character they can think of) mixed with soap opera. The first episode was promising, but the direction that they're going sucks and the developments (or lack thereof) are just silly. ...and it's ssoooooo sssslllloooooooow.... hard pass
I'm not exactly clear what the hell is going on. But, I'm watching as something about what they are showing is just pure eye candy. I just like watching it and I like the production values at least. But, it seems like character overload as was mentioned playing out all these famous fictional characters in the same location and timeline. I'm not really watching with my brain turned on at this point as the visuals are more appealing to me than the storyline at this point.
Strangely enough . . . I was looking at that It is ON DEMAND and evidently in season two Dole drums of summer tv Rocket River
They seem to DO very little Frankenstein's story is the most interesting The Vampires . . . 'the master' doesn't seem anything close to a mastermind of any sort . . .very animalistic. Van Helsing alluding to he knows about vampires but only partially I dunno . . . Piper has moved to being the best thing in the show Ives is 'mysterious' but it is wearing thin It reminds me of AGENTS OF SHIELD they better have a winter solder soon . . we need some real reveals. Rocket River
It definitely clarified Vanessa & Malcolm's relationship, and why there is always tension between them.
Personally thought it would have been a better opening episode to start the series. I thought it was probably the best of the season thus far.
Yeah definitely the best episode so far, and the one that tells you what is going on, why they are working together, and casts a whole new light on their relationship.
We have gotten insight into Frankenstein . .. . now Ives and Sir Malcolm We have Caliban's story next id Dorian, The Gun shooter and As someone said . .. i suspect the Piper will be the bride of frankenstein. . . Rocket River
I guess I have stayed with it this long . . . . . mostly out of boredom I hate leaving in the middle of things The Next episode will be the season finale it seems It *really* needs a big pay off . . .cause so far you have gotten squat The way I explained it to my friend is this show has a lot of fertile ground . . .but it only teases at it. It is relying on shocking shots and sexuality . . but the underlying story is thin It started getting interesting and them . . OOOOO SPIDERS!!! never to return to the interesting . .. . . . There is moving slow then their is just f***ing around Rocket River
Yeah, but now we know there is definitely more to Chandler than meets the eye.. what the &^$% was THAT all about?? Was he possessed by the Patron Saint of Lost Causes all of a sudden? Surely not..
I thought it was just the devil manifesting himself as Chandler, much like when he manifested himself as Sir Malcolm when Vanessa was going through something similar after being caught doing the nasty with Mina's fiance. Also, they cut straight to a scene where Chandler and Malcolm were downstairs in the same room. Or am I thinking of a different scene?
