And you're a full-time troll. You're in the right place for it, though.

Yes, pretty much. I try to be nice but generally pretty quickly remember that most of the people I'm arguing with are worthless leftist douchebags who deserve no respect. Why bother trying to be nice and respectful when talking to people who accuse me of lying about my service, wanting to leave POWs to the Taliban, and such?

Really, I see absolutely no reason to be civil when the "debate" drops to that level.

There are at least 5 or 6 that I've heard speaking out, the first was his squad leader.

Cody Full and Gerald Sutton (members of his platoon)

    Evan Buetow (Bergahl's team leader)

Matt Veirkant and Josh Korder (members of Bergahl's platoon) and Greg Letherman (his squad leader but he doesn't outright call him a deserter)

    Joshua Cornelison (platoon's medic)

I could find more if needed. The point is despite the gag order, the soldiers in Bergdahl's platoon thought so little of him that they had to speak. You can see/hear the outrage in the links with videos.

What irony. Since you aren't a contributing member, you probably can't do a search, but if by chance you can, search for posts by Deckard with "treeman" in them. You will see many posts from me treating you respectfully, and after you left, mentioning several times in different posts that I hoped you were OK. I am truly sorry that I went to the trouble. I'm glad you made it back, but you are clearly not "OK." I suggest therapy, with all due respect. You could use it. You've changed, and not for the better.

Did Bergdahl deserve to be rescued?

The more illuminating question to ask, instead, is what would have happened politically had the White House sat on its hands and not acted. Some of the very Republicans criticizing the president today were imploring him to do more to free Bergdahl just a few months prior. Some even suggested he pursue any means necessary to get him released. Let's say the White House had waited to act in hopes of a better deal -- and never reached one. What then?

Said the Obama administration official: "Imagine the outrage from Republicans if we had left him there."

So, how much will these 5 Taliban leaders who have been locked up for years actually help the Taliban do whatever it is that the Taliban do?

Seems like the Taliban have done OK without these 5 guys. Their bench players have stepped up to fill the void and the team also seems to have a steady supply of D-League talent. Bringing 5 former stars out of retirement may actually have a negative impact. These guys are likely pretty rusty with their play and chemistry would be disrupted as younger fighters resent having their minutes cut.

what do u mean? Bergdahl has been held prisoner for almost all of Obama's presidency. Nobody has said a word. Most people didn't even know Bergdahl existed. This deal has existed for atleast 2 years.....

That has to be the dumbest question one could possibly ask.

Simple question really, did he deserve to be rescued? Yes.

Equally simple question, should we have shipped 5 senior Taliban leaders imprisoned in Guantanamo Bay for him? No.

Stop trying to make this a Democrat vs Republican issue, it's just simply not.

LOL, I haven't really changed at all, I simply don't pretend to have respect for people I don't respect anymore. I've always been pretty direct and to the point. And I have little patience for idiots, too. But I've always been that way.

Really? "Libtards" and "worthless leftist douchebags" is civil, I suppose? I await your post to treeman saying the exact same thing to him. Thanks in advance.

your post was really over the top, son. Just keep it civil for the rest of us. I know this incident has you red-faced since your guy Obama is looking bad, but don't take it out on others.

Oh I agree (Well, except about the 5 senior Taliban leaders - I'm more afraid of republicans than I am of them)

But you'll find after time I'm not the one making it a Democrat vs Republican issue.

So far you've tried to make it a Democrat vs Republican thing with every single post. This was just a screw up, not a Democrat screw up, not a Republican screw up. The president acted unilaterally and pretty much everyone is mad at him for it.
