No one's saying having someone beaten up is defensible. Just that her going with Sterling who's been shady for a long time, she should have been smarter and known about his temper, his goons etc.
http://nypost.com/2014/06/02/v-stiviano-attacked-by-two-men-outside-restaurant/ [rquoter]V. Stiviano attacked by men shouting racial slurs Donald Sterling’s former gal pal V. Stiviano was pummeled by two men who shouted racial slurs at her outside a restaurant in the Meatpacking District Sunday night, her lawyer claimed. Stiviano was leaving a restaurant near the Gansevoort Hotel when two men attacked her and “punched her on the right side of her face several times,” according to her attorney, Mac Nehoray. “They were about 5-foot-7 and they knew exactly who she was,” he said. “They began to hit her and called her the N-word.” A guard at the Ganse*voort said he saw Stiviano and her crew get involved in the brawl at around 7 p.m. He said Stiviano was with several male and female friends when they got into an argument among themselves. That’s when the two strangers got involved, he said. “Eventually, hands started being thrown,” the bouncer told The Post. “It looks like the guys in the group were defending the girls.” The bouncer said he didn’t see Stiviano get hit, and didn’t hear the N-word. “In the chaos, I did not see her get popped in the face, but it wouldn’t surprise me if she did because it was crazy out there,” he said. Nicholas Pietro, manager of the Chester restaurant in the Gansevoort, said a customer witnessed a woman being hit in the face. “One of the patrons who saw the whole thing said they saw one guy punch her in the face out of nowhere,” he said. “So they got into a tussle and she tried to get away. Some people tried to break up the fight. “One of the guys who was trying to beat her up ended up really bloody.” Police said an intoxicated man was found on the ground by passing officers at the address at 7 p.m. He told officers he was drunk and slipped when a woman came at him. He did not wish to press charges, police said. Nehoray said Stiviano was not seriously injured, but “one side of her face is extremely red.” Police said they could not confirm that Stiviano was involved in the altercation. Stiviano, who is at the center of the LA Clippers racial firestorm, is in town to appear on Anderson Cooper’s CNN show.[/rquoter] http://nypost.com/2014/06/03/cops-question-man-over-attack-on-v-stiviano/ [rquoter]Cops question man over attack on V. Stiviano Cops picked up a Long Island man for questioning Tuesday, in connection with the alleged beating of Donald Sterling’s former gal pal V. Stiviano, law enforcement sources said. The 40-year-old was taken from his home and questioned by detectives with the NYPD’s Hate Crimes Task Force, sources said. He’s not been arrested or charged. Stiviano — who is of black and Latino descent — claims she was pummeled by two men who shouted racial slurs at her outside Meatpacking District restaurant on Sunday night. She was leaving a restaurant near the Gansevoort Hotel when two men attacked her and “punched her on the right side of her face several times,” the woman’s lawyer Mac Nehoray said. “As Ms. Stiviano was getting inside a cab, one of the assailants punched her in the face, calling her a f—— n—– b****,” Alaleh Kamran, another lawyer for Stiviano, said in a prepared statement on Tuesday. Stiviano’s team also claims that there are witnesses to the attack, and nearby security cameras captured it on tape. “We understand that there are now two videos of the assault that have been located,” Kamran said. “In addition, several witnesses have been come forward with relevant and critical information regarding the facts surrounding the incident and the identity of the assailants. We also have reason to believe that one of the assailants is now in the hospital.” Stiviano famously tape recorded a chat she had with the Clippers owner, Sterling, when he made a series of racist statements. The incendiary words led NBA commissioner Adam Silver to ban Sterling for life and ordered him to sell the team. Estranged wife and the team’s co-owner Shelly Sterling has reached a deal to sell the Clips to former Microsoft CEO Steve Ballmer for a mind-blowing $2 billion. Donald Sterling is challenging the sale, saying the NBA and Shelly Sterling don’t have the authority to order and make such a deal.[/rquoter]
Sterling's ex-girlfriend may or may not be a horrible person (we all really know very little about her.) But based just on what we may not know, she might not deserve a happy life, or love in her life, or monetary success or whatever. But she doesn't deserve to be attacked and beaten by two men. I honestly don't care about what happens to her, she isn't interesting at all to me. But it's shameful that people who are capable of being gentlemen go around broadcasting that the woman who hasn't committed any crime, and has only damaged a racist scum deserves to be beaten by random racists on the street and/or that many women deserve to be beaten.
So the NYC cops seem to have caught the guys that attacked Stiviano but they can't catch a hitman that executed someone in broad daylight on one of the busiest streets in NYC despite having the hitman shooting the victim on camera and knowing the license plate of the SUV he drove away in. Something is wrong with that NYC police dept.
Saying she "had what was coming to [her]" is exactly the same thing as saying that she deserved to get beaten up. And several other posters in this thread did say that women deserve to be beaten in general when they step out of line. This thread is quite shocking actually.
A ugly and cheap woman got no a love from those two men. Nothing is abnormal if something is happening to her although I do not like any violence.
I didn't say she deserved to get beaten up. I just said she had it coming... that doesn't necessarily mean in the form of violence, but that's what happened. If it was a guy that revealed Sterling, no one would have a problem with the violence. Isn't that a problem in itself?
After reading the articles posted by J.R., this just comes off as staged for more publicity. (1) She's going on CNN and (2) no charges are being filed.
She had to bang an old bag of bones like sterling for that money. It's not like he wasn't getting anything out of it
The ignorance within this thread is appalling. To say that she deserved to be beaten proves sexist and racist undertones are prevalent. Its disturbing to say the least. Might want to take a look in the mirror.
An old ass disgusting trash of a man at that. No ish she's a gold digger people. I am pretty confident Sterling knows why she was "with" him in the first place. They both knew what that meant and their "relationship" is a farce to begin with. Sterling is even dumber than he looks if he thought she enjoyed his company or was loyal to him in any way shape or form just because he bought her a couple of things. Oh but she's a gold digging money hoe so she deserves what is coming to her. Give me a break you idiots. I guess you think all prostitutes, strippers, etc. deserve to be "slapped" when they out you to the bouncer/pimp when you get out of line. She outted the man for what he is which I am guessing has happened to many of you rejected tortured souls which is why you are so pissed. Some of you probably think you have been in a relationship with a stripper before and then come to find out you are not and sit there wondering why a stripper is being disloyal to you.
There are some pretty sick people in this thread. Despite what V. has done in the past that doesn't change the fact that a woman was mugged, and most of you are making jokes about it or rationalizing her deserving it. Its very disturbing and freaking embarrassing that I belong to a community where a good majority have this type of thinking.
What exactly went around, that she got paid for sleeping with a 80 year old billionaire who loved ****ing her, because I'm sure that was the agreement She deserved to be beaten by two men for that?
