No animated gifs can do that death scene justice. You need the sound, too. And as for ROXTIA's wife closing her eyes, I bet she still heard the crushing of the watermelon and couldn't get to sleep either.
Been a little loco. But at that moment, yeah at the hound, because he was entirely focused on a reward from her aunt, which was gone. yeah anything cgi is tough, and they're the worst, too puppyish. And the girl is wearing me out. Started out likeable, but as someone mentioned her one move (now that she's cut off the t&a faucet)- 1,000 mile stare expressionless soliloquies. Hoping that situation gets tightened up soon.
Kind of debating weather I should warn the wife , might be gross enough to sour her from watching the show
Probably a good idea if she isn't a fan of that kind of thing. No reason to ruin a series for someone over one overly graphic scene.
i really don't know what to think of this thread, multiple posts on the image of prince oberyn and no images on missandei, shameful either way i'm glad i'm not the only one who didn't quite understand the beetle story
Are the Boltons aware of the impending march by Mance or the Wildings attacking towns south of the wall? As the Warden of the North, wouldn't he have protection/law enforcement responsibilities or is he too busy trying to consolidate control in the North? The Dreadfort looks pretty close to the wall on the Westeros map.
Maester Aemon told Sam to write letters to all the lords of Westoros, which Tywin dismissed but Stannis took seriously. I'm sure they must have received a letter (depending whether Sam had sent the raven to the Dreadfort or Winterfell though). The Boltons seem too busy repelling the Greyjoys from the north to deal with the Wall for now.
No, pretty much everybody in Westeros still thinks the white walkers are a fairy tale and aren't really concerned with the wildlings who aren't viewed as a real threat. I don't want to give any details, but the situation on the wall is going to be made much clearer in these final 2 episodes, so best stop asking questions before someone starts giving answers. In fact a lot is going to happen in these last 2 episodes, they should be spectacular.
I was wondering the same thing. Personally, I can't wait to see the Boltons completely wiped out. They are lying, betraying, sadistic killers, and the world will be better off without them. It's almost more than I can imagine, Tywinn giving Bolton that much land and power, knowing they like to murder people and peel their skin off (and not necessarily in that order). As bad as Tywinn is, it's still hard to believe he would have had anything to do with the Boltons. And for that matter, I don't know why the Starks did either. While the rampaging Wildlings are not really any better, at least they will eventually butt heads against someone of equal brutality in the Boltons. Maybe they will wipe each other out. Can't really say I am thrilled at the notion of a bunch of skinless back-from-the-dead zombies though... ugh
I like the dragons chances of killing the zombies with their fire breath. I hope the white walkers bring the fight to Essos.
I like the Bolton's. They're crazy. Crazy is good. Much better than boring and annoying (Dragon t***).
Q - Are the Boltons aware of the impending march by Mance or the Wildings attacking towns south of the wall? A - No, they have no real knowledge of Mance and his army. Their perception of the wildlings is that they are a bunch of untrained, unorganized nomads from beyond the wall living in straw huts and fighting with rocks and sticks. They think the White Walkers are a thing of the past and nothing more than stories to scare little kids before bedtime. They have been fighting the war of the 5 Kings which is still ongoing. They have been busy doing things like taking control of the North, double crossing the Starks, burning Winterfell, taking Moat Cailin and fighting the Iron Born. The Nights Watch takes no sides in any war and have guarded the Wall for thousands of years so Roose Boltan has no reason to pay any attention to what is going on at the Wall. Q - As the Warden of the North, wouldn't he have protection/law enforcement responsibilities or is he too busy trying to consolidate control in the North? A - You basically answered your own question here. The Starks have controlled the North for as long as the 7 kingdoms has been in existence. Starks were Kings prior to being the Warden of the North and most of the Northerners remain loyal to the Stark Family. Consolidating the North which is larger than the rest of the 7 kingdoms combined as a long drawn out task, particularly when the War of the 5 Kings is still ongoing particularly against the Iron Born. I hope this helps. In short, none in the 7 kingdoms takes any threat North of the Wall serious. Even Ned in episode 1 of the 1st season does not take any threat north of the wall seriously. Bran asks Ned if what the deserter said about the White Walkers being back is true. Ned basically ignored the possibility and replied, "A mad man sees what he sees". The Starks have been some of the biggest players on the wall and Neds own brother Benjan is / was 1st ranger on the wall and Ned didn't even believe the Walkers had returned.
I think your response in your original post of both hating and loving the show is the exact response GRRM was looking for. The man truly is sadistic.
The Boltons seem like the STARSCREAMS of the GoT They cannot be leaders but desperately want to be They are not killed because. . .at the end of the day . . .they are damn good at their job "A naked man has few secrets A flayed man has NONE" - Motto of House Bolton Rocket River
