We don't need a big three or four. Trade Asik for milsap. Sign hawes for 3 years 8 mill each. Pick up a sharpshooter like Krover and trade Lin and motie to sixers for moultrie and whoever else.
Totally agree with you. I would never even consider that. However, I would probably be ready to consider a Harden for Kyrie Irving and their first round (1st) pick trade.
If we can.... Trade Omer Asik for Paul Millsap. Sign Kyle Lowry to a front loaded contract which would help us sign Parsons to a contract extension.
Assuming Love to Boston happens.... Houston Out: Asik, Lin, TJones, 2015 1st, NYK 2015 2nd Houston In: Melo Boston Out: Bass, Joel Anthony, 2015 1st round pick Boston In: Asik, Felton NYK Out: Melo, Felton NYK In: Lin, Bass, Joel Anthony, HOU and Boston 2015 1st round picks, NYK 2015 2nd round pick Houston - Get's their 3rd star in Melo, and doesn't take back bad salary Boston - Gets their rim protector to put next to Love. Felton's contract expires at the same time as Wallace's. NYK - Other than JR Smith, their books can be completely clear in 2015, and they've got multiple picks to work with.
Rockets trade Omer Asik to the Charlotte Hornets for a 2014 24th pick and the 45th pick. Rockets trade Jeremy Lin to the Raptors for a 2014 20th pick and the 37th pick. Rockets keep all second round picks. Rockets trade Terrence Jones, 24th pick via charlotte, and 20th pick via Toronto to Minnesota Timberwolves for Gorgui Dieng
Trade Lin to LA for nothing, throw in a second rounder if need be Trade Ask to Boston for a pick Sign Melon in Free Agency Sign Parsons Fill in the rest with vet min, MILE and Bi-annual MLE
Your valuation of players is a bit off. Lin won't pull one first rounder, let alone two picks. He'll probably cost us a pick if anything. And that is WAY too much for Gorgui Deng who's not even as good as Terrence in the first place.
personally I think Gorgui is a great defender. Has alot of upside. I disagree with lin, if thats the case then, 2nd round pick and 1 first round plus tjones for Gorgui whos a better fit for the 4/5 position then Tjones
I'm not saying Deng couldn't be, but he only played 13 min/game and is only a rookie. He's very raw and lacking experience. I guarantee you if you offer Deng for Jones straight up, Minnesota would take it in a heartbeat. Jones is also 22 while Deng is already 24. Much bigger upside for an already better player in Terrence. Just my opinion.
Asik to Boston for Jeff Green and picks Lin to Cleveland for Jarret Jack. I'd rather let the contracts of Asik and Lin play out than lock in players at that level for more years, but if the goal is just that Asik and Lin have to be moved then huzzah for lateral moves.
You a Boston fan now?? Horrible trade. Why does Boston even need to be involved in this trade? May as well trade Harden to Miami for Lebron.
Hate to lose D-Mo (who can back up 4 and 5) but would do this trade in a heartbeat. Not as crazy about Love as some others but combined with Brewer, this is a no brainer trade. Maybe take back Shved as well.
