His defense is highly overrated because he leaves the Rockets playing 4 on 5 on the offensive end (the Shane Battier Effect).

Hopefully a shrewd GM like Morey will use this as trade leverage and strike while the iron is hot.

he averaged 10.2 ppg shooting 36% from 3.

that's solid for a 4th option at best.

Harden's bad defense makes the other team also play bad defense making him an valueble member of our defensive lineup

Lolol I wonder who voted for Harden. I'm surprised Howard wasn't second team, at least. Noah was everyone's favorite but Hibbert? Does he even average 7 rebounds? Howard practically doubles his rebounds.

Congrats to Beverley! He was great this season. Love his intensity. Raising his price tag though. Lolol

Considering that there are over 400 players in the league...all players listed therefore in the "others receiving votes" category would have to be considered "near elite" defenders.

I did not realize that the following players were "near elite" defensively:

    Klay Thompson
    Monta Ellis
    David Lee
    Stephen Curry
    Tony Parker
    DeMar DeRozen
    James Harden
    KirK Hinrich
    Victor Oladipo (rookie)

    Correct me if I'm wrong...

who are the two people that even considered Harden as a defensive NBA player...they deserve to have voting credentials revoked...

Harden didn't get to vote on this, did he? A first team vote is worth 2 points after all.

    Awesome! Glad people are noticing

On a separate note, why no Tony Allen?
