Lin, Asik, Parsons & the Rockets 1st round pick probably wouldn't even get the conversation started. Of course if it did then the Cavs would have to through in someone else like Varejao to make the money work. I would do it in a second but no way the Cavs would do it.

It's likely any deal that isn't straight-up Asik for _______ will require a 2nd team, perhaps more, to effect a realistic swap.

And OA only works for a few teams, including and especially Pacers and Hawks IMO.

I do not understand the point you are trying to make. Do you think the rockets:
Only hire coaches who are inexperienced and hadn't had success?
Only hire coaches with experience who have already achieved success?
Because both are wrong, if we look at our last 4 coaches:
    Tomjanovic: inexperienced
    JVG: experienced and successful
    Adelman: experienced and successful
    Mchale: inexperienced

Maybe you wanted to make a point about who Morey hires. but since he hired Adelman and Mchale he still has hired both an experienced and an inexperienced coach.

I'm talking about post Harden signing under Morey. Clearly if we had any of those coaches before Mchale we easily get out the first round. Everyone knows we have Mchale here to recruit and now we are trying to hire a real head coach to be his head assistant to do all the work... however Mchale gets all the credit I hate that. We do need the third star though. I did not make all that clear originally so I understand your reply.

Ah I understand your point now. I am not a fan of Mchale as a coach, to me it seems he made huge mistakes in the play offs (before the play offs I gave him the benefit of the doubt), and I would prefer a new coach. On the other it lands us Kevin Love I do not mind keeping Mchale on for another year and hiring a great defensive assistant.

Are you kidding? If Mchale can help us to get Love, I will extend him for at least two more years. But I do not think Mchale can help lots, the players join the team due to other great players, not a great coach or a coach connection.

How much evidence do we have of McHale the star recruiter? I would think professional players who have multiple max offers to consider would want to be coached by someone who could improve their game and help them get a ring. Is McHale that much of a post up guru? I think the verdict is in on his actual ability to coach a team to a title.
