Yeesh. That was pretty brutal, but as per usual, GRRM's MO shines through again. The bad guys usually win.
In this case, of course. The original question made it clear that it was only a spoiler for those who hadn't watched tonight's episode. But the answer was a spoiler for something that hadn't yet happened.
Was there any purpose to the stuff about the cousin who squashed beetles? Was it intended to foreshadow what the Mountain was about to do?
Yes. There were some things edited out, comments by Tyrion and Ellaria and a few other things, but otherwise it was very faithful to the book. Kind of like the Red Wedding was last year. Same here.
This might come off as a stupid question but was there a reason why Sansa was dressed in black? I would ask a few more questions but I don't want to upset anyone in this thread.

I'm trying to remember, someone can correct me, I think in the books Littlefinger did not want to reveal her identity to the other lords, and changed her hair in case one of them recognized her from when she was a child.
Pretty cool fan made comic strip of the fight http://mccomseycomix.wordpress.com/...r-vs-the-mountain-that-rides-a-12-page-comic/ fight spoiler (obviously)
All he had to do was SPEAR THROUGH THE FACE after the Mountain was down. ****. King of Friendzone got kicked out of Maureen, Viper dead, Ramsey legitimized, Littlefinger got his way, the list goes on. I bloody hope the final two episodes will have something to be damn happy about.
Spoiler Yeah, but if memory serves the poison Oberyn uses takes a while to kill The Mountain, so Cersei tries to rush the execution through. Tywin is kind of the opinion that Cersei's chosen left the trial alive, so Tyrion loses. Clegane dying after the duel is fought doesn't really matter.
I knew it was happening, yet I'm still shocked. I have seen f'ed up stuff many times, but that was the only thing to make me feel truly uncomfortable. Bronn foreshadowed this big time: paraphrasing: "I just need to dance around until he gets tired from swinging, but one mistake and I'm dead".

After seeing Ser Jorah get treated so poorly, I'm about over Khaleesi, Mother of Dragons, yada yada yada. Wouldn't mind if her Dragons decide to make her lunch one day.
