No he absolutely did not have great fundamentals when it came to boxing out. It's one of the things I complained about him on a regular bases when he was starting for the Rockets. I couldn't count the number of times I screamed at him through my tv to put a body on someone. Pat was most definitely not good at boxing out.
I can't tell if people are being trolled. Ppat was a horrible rebounder, despite his size and 'athleticism'. Chuck Hayes could easily outrebound him in his sleep.
Patterson couldn't box out to save his life. The best memory i have from him, is his performance against Bobcats.
Uh so, when you run no center, your rebounding suffers. That is what you just proved. Patrick Patterson was one of the most under appreciated and misunderstood players that the rockets have ever had.
I saw him at Dandanah on Westheimer and Fountainview on Friday night with some of his buddies. He was only there for about ten minutes then got out of there.
I've found a copy of Dream's Syllabus: Patrick Patterson Course of Instruction by Hakeem Olajuwon Summer 2014 Jump high. No, please, Patrick, you must jump higher. I do not believe you are even jumping at all. It's like you are stepping on a small rock or standing on your tiptoes. Focus Patrick, Focus to jump higher See the basket? Go stand under it. Please Patrick if you want to be a champion you must focus and go under it. Please. See that rebound Patrick? You must have heart and desire and please go get that ball patrick to become a champion. Please.
