Lancaster or not, giving up 10 ER in a start is freaking embarrassing...Gray isnt settting the world on fire in AA, but he damn sure he doing a way better job than Appel has in high A. I say we spend our first couple of picks on pitching this year!!

Appel threw 13 innings before this clunker. Disappointing, but I'm not declaring Jonathan Gray the winner yet.
Jon Singleton just hit his 14th homer to give OKC an 8-6 lead over Memphis. Delino DeShields hit a 2-run homer (5) to put Corpus on top 4-2 over NW Arkansas.
Appel was facing off against Julio Urias. Oh by the way, Urias is 17 years old and blanking Lancaster after three innings.
What did the coaches and development staff ask him to work on in his first game back? It was already said that he was throwing mostly/exclusively fastballs, what does that tell you? What do you think their plan might be? How do you think they might expand on this outing in his next start?
Was I not clear enough? Do you not know what a "question mark" means? They look like this "?" I don't have answers, just questions. Was hoping you might bring some knowledge and insight, or at least some thoughts other than "suck".
Doesn't matter. His fastball alone should be good enough to get him through 2 innings without giving up 10 ER. There is still something wrong with his stuff right now. The gap between college and A+ is not that big.
