Greg Oden may win a title before Kevin Durant does.

Gosh, and Robert Horry and Mario Elie are in convo for GOAT due to the # of rings THEY won.

Whose career would you like to have, KD the MVP's or GO the MOP*.

*Most Operated on Player, and that is a shame.

Lol Greg Oden and Sam Bowie. To be fair, Oden draft comparison was Bill Russel and David Robinson :p

Yet, people still count rings as the be-all standard for success.

And your point is? Oden with equal length legs would have been a top 5 center of all time. Better Yao. He's got Timmy Duncans timing and rebound ability with faster ups than Shaq when he was healthier. Tragedy, but I would still have picked him over Durant. You can't pass up a guy like that.

Honestly if Oden were healthy, he'd probably be a pretty damn good center. Better than Hibbert at least and that pathetic excuse for a center is considered an all-star.

It's sad they couldn't help Oden out. There's procedures in Germany that cause no nerve damage to lengthen a leg up to 2 inches. Oden's problem is 1 leg is 1 inch shorter than the other. It's 2010s and they couldn't find this or a better solution. They threw away a good centers career because the 5 is no longer the power player it used to be.

Quite a statement to make, based on what?

A guy that averaged 15.7ppg in college and never showed a versatile or more than mediocre offensive game better than Yao and top 5 of all time? Maybe he'd have been a top 20 defender in NBA history, but top 5 center and better than a Yao who averaged above 20&10? Better than Dwight who was the same force on defense but with way more scoring?

If Hakeem Olajuwon struggles to get recognized as a top 5 center ever, I could only imagine Greg Oden if he was healthy. No way would he ever be considered top 5 even if Oden was healthy. It's laughable to think so.
