Style has noting to do with mental make up. It's been proven that LeBron is mentally weak. That's why he had to leave Cleveland and join 2 All-Stars in the first place. You can't teach mental toughness and players would have had their way with him. The NBA is watered down now. The talent level is not the same. The East is complete trash and players like Chris Bosh and Vince Carter will be HOFers. Just stop it.

the uptempo pace/style of the 80's would benefit lebron because nobody would be able to stop him in transition.

not to mention if lebron could hand check like they allowed in the 80's, he would probably be the best perimeter defender of all time.

that speed, athleticism, intelligence, and strength, WITH handchecking

If Lebron was so mentally weak then he wouldn't already have 2 rings in Miami either.

Me too. To me, Magic was the best basketball player of all time. You put him on the court and everyone on the court becomes better. He also won a championship in his rookie season as the best player on the court.

Lebron will go down as the best player ever. He is better than Jordan in almost every way except for competitiveness. Lebron doesn't have that chip on his shoulder because when MJ was getting cut from his highschool team, Lebron was playing pickup ball with NBA players.

Magic and Bird played the majority of their careers against a pre expansion league. Teams were much stronger back then.

Every basketball fan should watch Magic's performance as a rookie in the NBA finals.

He has already passed both Magic and Bird in win shares in both the regular season and playoffs and he is only 29. He has a much higher PER than either of those guys. Both those guys played with stacked teams so you can't use that argument to say those guys are better than bron.

Magic played with Worthy and Kareem.

Bird played with DJ, McHale and Parish.

I'm sorry. If Magic teamed up w/ Bird & Isaiah just so they could beat Jordan, I'd immediately put a asterisk next to every accomplishment he receives. Lebron's a great player. But he's benefited from playing in a terrible conference, and he's playing on the most stacked team in the last 20 years. I guess this what he envisioned when he quit on Cleveland in the playoffs his last year there.

amazing to think he spent 7 years in Cleveland. Almost the exact same period where Olajuwon came to a crucial decision point as well.

basically the only people who still complain about lebron leaving cleveland are lebron "dislikers" (i don't like using the word haters")

they're just people who wanted to see lebron rot in cleveland and his legacy be handicapped by a terrible gm and a terrible organization.

they wanted to see lebron continue to lose in the playoffs to clearly superior teams with him putting up historical numbers where his role player routinely shrink so they can go on the internet and blame everything on lebron and call him a "choker", "lebronze", etc.

they want to hold lebron to a standard that no other hall of fame perimeter player is held to. to win without talent around him.

magic won championships with a 6x nba champion, 2x finals mvp, 6x mvp, 19x all-star, and 10x all-nba first teamer but lebron is supposed to win with 1x all-star mo williams and a coach who got fired 3 times in 4 years

the logic of lebron ""dislikers" is astounding.

LeBron is basically Magic. If you want to compare all time greats it'll be:
    Magic and LeBron.
    Kobe and Jordan.

Durant is still iffy he really needs to expand his game.

Its funny how LeBron completely eclipsed Kobe's accomplishments.
Sure Kobe has the rings, but nobody is talking about him now. It jumped from MJ to Kobe for a little while and then LeBron knocked Kobe off the pedestal.
