Somebody would want an elite rim protector despite his shortcomings. In fact, I think Indy should keep him unless they find a rim protector. Do you want Ian Mahinmi on that job?

    That said...

Asik + something else for Hibbert?

Contract wise, Asik + $1.1M or so (DMo? Maybe a couple of the end of bench guys?) gets a trade to work under the rules.

Indy gets a big guy who protects the basket and actually rebounds the ball like a 7 footer. Houston gets to try Twin Towers again, this time with a guy who can actually shoot midrange Js?

Doubt that the (cheapish) Indy owner take on both the balloon payment of Lin and Asik at the same time.

Random trade idea thread? Come on, breh. And don't use the "it's in an article, therefore it's a story" excuse bullcrap blah blah blah. It's a waste of a thread and bandwidth. Merge with the random trade thread, lock it up, and give this fool negative rep.....

JK bro. Wouldn't mind Hibbert. Doubt he would (want to) come here tho, especially after he claimed management told him he was D-league bound for a year or two if we drafted him.

I was thinking something along the lines of Hibbert to Portland, and Lopez and Lin to Indy.

I would trade for him. He's the missing piece to a championship contender. RGV would be a dynasty

portland should strike. Lopez and an assett could be good enough. Dallas and phoenix also come to mind.

I would trade Asik for Hibbert. And I like Asik. I think Hibbert can bounce back to his normal self in a new environment.

He will now likely get his wish. Probably would have been traded anyway since the Pacers need to retool (if not blow up the situation and rebuild).
