He's being a prima donna by not having his ass in OTA's learning the new system like everyone else. He knows that he isn't going anywhere this year, he's just hoping that his BS will net him a new contract with more guaranteed money like it did last time.

"Wanting to win a Super Bowl" has literally nothing to do with it because he isn't making his team any better by missing OTA's and he's not playing anywhere else this year.

Rick Smith was the GM, but I don't know if he was the one in control of negotiating the contracts. But Dre stupidly tried to negotiate his contract without proper representation and the Texans took advantage of him like a good business would.

I don't believe Dre is holding out for a new contract. I believe he wants to get traded or cut. But I posted that information for the people running around saying Dre is one of the highest paid receivers when he's not. He's pretty much been a bargain for the Texans for his career compared to others like Fitzgerald.

He misses "voluntary" workouts and now people are calling him a prima donna like he's T.O... Hilarious...!!!

It's probably better for the team to have OTA's without Dre. That way the young guys get more snaps and the quarterbacks have to work harder because Dre isn't there to be a safety net for them.

Last year the ONLY player on the team to take "his veterans time off" was Tim Dobbins, he's no longer in the league. That's not a coincidence. You can call OTA's "voluntary" but they really aren't.

AJ80 will be out of the league by next summer. The Great Bobby has called it.

That's what you got out of that? Bang your head against your desk until something useful comes out.

Players with a future with their current team, show up for OTA's, simple as that. Dobbins picked dicking around at his house over OTA's, and he was cut after the year. The reason why Andre is skipping out on OTA's is because he's trying to convince the Texans to give him a new contract so he's not a cap casualty next year. By not doing so, the Texans are basically confirming that they are going to cut or trade him after this season.

When you are in your prime, you might be able to pull off the holdout BS, but it doesn't work for old guys, just ask MJD.

I can name a lot of willy veterans who didn't participate in these voluntary OTA'S sir. Bwhahaha

Bobbythegreat why are you taking this situation so personal pimpn?

AJ will be ready to play by game 1 bro you can best believe that. And if nobody can present me with a link stating AJ is doing this because he wants more money ( Meaning Andre said its about the money) then it's only speculation on your part.

    Show some facts bro-ham.

I'm taking it exactly the same way that I took Dobbins doing the same last year. If you can't be bothered to go to OTA's, you shouldn't be on the roster. I wanted Dobbins cut in camp, now that's not realistic given Andre's contract, but I want him cut or traded next year when his contract makes it an option.

When you have a new scheme to learn and a new coach to adjust to, there is no excuse in missing time other than injury.

Just wondering, but am I the only person who is getting frustrated with the same people arguing in every Texans thread? Any legit news is buried.

True, it's annoying that they've been having the exact same argument with posts repeated almost verbatim for about 40 pages.

Has Andre or the Texans said anything recently?

I don't think anyone's is really arguing, mostly teenagers just trying to one up each other for rep/status on the messageboard. Maybe they will go outside and play because it's summer.

I'm sure he will be ready but the dude said "he doesn't know if he wants to be here." So are you 100% positive that he is going to give his all for the Texans on the field...???

If Dre knows he's going to get cut next year _ regardless if he puts up big numbers he more than likely won't get a big contract from another team because of his age... So are you sure he won't take it easy during the season and save some tread on his old tiers so he can be ready to have his last productive year or two with a contender at a discount rate...???

The better he plays next season the better contract he'll get when he gets cut. Simple as that.
