Sheer Insanity in the Galleria. You could go buy your metal T-Shirts and stink bombs to throw on the Ice Skating rink all in one stop
Yes, like about 10 times. All of the new posts coming in, some need to look through the thread. The places that are now being submitted were posted like on page 2,3,5 and 7. I think we've run out of stuff.
My list is 1990s childhood themed Imaginations in the First Colony Mall. I think it moved a couple times before going out of business. Get to paint ceramic crap, and it was the hottest birthday party spot in elementary school. Had my 1st grade party there. I painted so much junky ceramics there, and when my family moved, the box of all the stuff I painted was "mysteriously left behind" at the house. Limited Too (bought out by Justice) Nickelodeon Studios (Never got to visit and be a part of a "live studio audience" before it went away) Summit/Compaq Center. Only ever went to a game when it was the Compaq Center Astroworld Adventure Bay
Is West Oaks Mall going going to shut down or what? I've been hearing news of it going to shut down for the past 10 years or so, but it still stands.
I knew there was something that we are ALL missing and it's Spoiler Dream Merchant Spoiler IN Sharpstown Mall
yes. pure awesome. If you hit the top turret part the their tank couldnt shoot If you hit the bottom portion of the tank they couldnt move Liability insurance must have been through the roof with those tennis ball bullet going that fast. Put an eye out for sure. I can imagine dumbass kids probably smashing into each other and the tanks breaking down must have been its demise. Had to have been around 1988.
Ted's Baseball Card shop. It used to be on the westside of town, then moved to Galleria and then eventually shut down as all baseball card shops did over time. Really great memories of that place. Attended a few grade school birthday parties held there.
Godfathers is still around. Rallys burgers Redline burgers on Washington checkers Woolworth downtown pizza
New ownership...they've invested in it bringing in some new stores and restaurants. It always reminded me of the Twin Pines Mall from Back to the Future
Uchi took over the Felix spot? West Oaks was remodeled some but it's still pretty sad. The new theather is nice though. Droubi's on Voss/Hillcroft closed down.
Awesome. I grew up down the street from there. The spiderweb at Fame City Waterworks was scary fun, and dangerous. Yay 1980's lack of liability regulations. Season pass as a child. I miss this buffet:
