Or Club AM. Walking out into the 7am sun after 9 hours of partying makes me wanna gag now but I loved it back then.
Adventure Bay Water Park. I remember admission was really cheap. We used to go there a couple of times every summer before it closed down. It was small but I had a lot of fun there.
Yeah, how many pages now and no mention of the Shamrock Hilton? That place put Houston on the map when it was first built. It was a shame when they tore it down to build a parking lot.
Yes, I just looked it up and it is the same park. When I went it was called Adventure Bay and it was "new" but everything looked pretty old. http://famecitywaterworks.com/fame-city-houston-pictures.php
It worked out in the end. There is great landscaping and fountains with benches to retreat to from the medical center. Plus they do more important things in the new building than debutante balls.
Not sure if it was mentioned but anyone remember GAMETRONIX off Chimney Rock (IIRC). Got Street Fighter 2 for Super Nintendo there back in the day.
Whoa! I worked there for a year! That was a FUN job! Got to take home all kinds of great games like the Neo-Geo system!
