I chose maybe, because it all depends the team (teammates) he is on. Playing with KD, he should never have more shots than KD unless he is on fire. Playing with the MVP and you shoot 6 for 22 and the MVP shoots 8 for 16, that will never be a good look no matter what position you play.

I've personally never considered Westbrook a point guard, he's just a guard. The way the league is evolving, positions are becoming more and more mixed: stretch 4's, swing 2 and 3's, no true centers, etc. I view Westbrook in the same vein as Dwyane Wade pre-James. If they had grown in the organization together, I'm sure the criticism for Wade taking shots from James would have been viewed similarly to Westbrook taking Durant's.

Anyone complaining about him not playing the role of a PG is pretty clueless about the modern nba. They are 5 basketball players on the court, positions are close to meaningless. Not to mention, a top passing pg isn't a prerequisite for winning anything.

He is questioned because he plays recklessly sometimes and is overly aggressive and makes bad plays. Regardless of position, that will hurt you sometimes,

People aren't against Westbrook for being a point guard, they're against Westbrook for dominating the ball and shooting more than Durant. We can reverse this case study fairly easily - people felt Cuttino Mobley (a 2) would be better off if moved in order to allow Steve Francis (the 1) to get more shots and develop freely.

When the guy getting the shots and controlling the ball the majority of the game isn't your best offensive player, you'll hear people complain. More so when said player is likely the most dominant offensive player in basketball.

PG/SG are pretty much the same thing in today's meta-game or shall I say sans zone-d and 3pt rains.

Ive been saying for years that OKC needs to move to the 2 just like Dwade did in 2005.

Westbrook probably has a greater standing reach than 90% of the 2s in the NBA. He will develop into Dwayne Wade 2.0 with his dimensions.

The criticism would just be different but let's face it, the only reason he's not technically a SG is because he's too short at 6'3 and he'd be one of the worst shooting SG's in the league and almost certainly the worst shooting starting SG from 3.

He's the size of a PG with the athleticism of an elite SG with the 3 point shooting of....well someone that shouldn't shoot them.

a stronger personality = bigger a-hole, in many cases.

He's the lighting rod of criticism for KD; the scapegoat.
KD has gotten so much slack because Westbrook was there to blame instead of KD.
