Yep. We're down in Galveston quite a bit...every trip includes La King's on the Strand (best Rocky Road ice cream ever)...and many times includes 30 minutes or so at least at the Colonel.

    Totally forgot about service merchandise.

I've been to Piccadilly cafe once. It was in the malls and stuff.

We have a thread like this every two years.

My first date at Greenway 3 Theaters @ Greenway Plaza

During summers as a kid, my friends and I would buy 1 ticket and sneak into at least 4 movies/day at The Spectrum (movie theater) on Augusta (Galleria)

Remember my dad taking us to Gulfgate Cinema to see Star Wars and Conan the Barbarian -- fun times.

And finally, the Gulfway Drive-in movie theater. Couldn't find a pic but those were some awesome movie experiences as a kid in dad's station wagon.

Anyone remember the name of that indoor mall near Meadows Place in the Sugar Land/Stafford area? They used to have a Discovery Zone-esque play area for kids that I remember.

No it's not. I'd post a pic of a place called "The Talk of the Town III" but Google-ing it would not be safe for work.

Unless I missed it, surprised to not see Luther's mentioned.

Woolworth's Express in the malls had great toys (throw KB Toys in there too)
Service Merchandise had a little bit of everything
Phar-Mor and Venture used to be at the same spot in that shopping center near Greenspoint mall
Incredible universe (didn't go there until they had their massive clearance/liquidation)
Children's Place toy store was >>>> Toys R Us

Fame City was legit. I remember the rows and rows of arcade machines and that indoor putt putt

Food Lion was the nastiest grocery store. Right when you get to the entrance you could smell the seafood that was all the way in the back.

The OG Little Caesars that had the reflex/memory game where you could play and get prizes

Oshmann's when it was in the mall and not freestanding was awesome too.
