Yes! Everytime my borthers come into town from Colorado we end up talking about how ridiculously good Tinsley's rolls were. We almost never got the chicken but would go get a dozen rolls to have with dinner.
Bob's BBQ on 45 in Conroe. The building's still there, but more importantly so is the sign although it's advertising Little Dude Mini Storage now. And as always... https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WC5mvVXGGjc
Shanghai Reds? Who know this place? Used to go there as a kid in North Shore. Back in the early 80's there was also a cool restaurant called "Western Traveler" on old HWY 90 near CE King that had a waterfall and stream running through it.
Not gone gone, but gone from Houston ... Shakey's Pizza Vaudeville Pizza Only one left in Houston ... Godfather's Pizza
That place was awesome! Used to go there once or twice a year for field trips through school and always had fun. Yea, this place has gone through a lot of change in ownership through the years. They're trying to really revive it but it's in a bad location now. I think they have concerts in there now but they're all hispanic artists. But, I grew up about five minutes away and was able to watch their cool fireworks shows from my bedroom window. They also used to have a cool thing across the street where you drove tanks around and shot at each other with tennis balls or something. Wow, I remember going there really young.
Leo's Mexican restaurant. https://www.google.com/search?q=leo...SkqAa96oGYBQ&ved=0CAsQ_AUoBA&biw=1398&bih=739 http://blogs.houstonpress.com/eating/2010/01/top_9_houston_restaurant_closi.php
Other than Toy-R-Us, they had the best toy section out of any place that I could remember as a kid. Whenever we went there my mom would always have to tear me a new one because it would take her forever to find me after I ran off.
Shut up man. Too soon. I though it was just being ignored on purpose. Plus what we have is so better now. An empty lot of broken dreams. I'm just glad that after 20 years of being a p*ssy I finally rode almost all the rides the last year it existed. I think I only missed Bataman and Ultratwister.
Two Pesos Been mentioned, but have to go with Peppermint Park, Nathan's Physical Whymsical, Hannah Barbara Land, Sea Arama (And of course Jungle Surf waterslides!...the only two things to do outside of playing on the beach in Galveston back in the day). Speaking of Galveston, Colonel Bubbies!
