I doubt we'll make it through the first round. (Holland)

That is Klinsmans way of excluding him.

We should do a bracket. I wanted to start 1 but I haven't found the time.

Yah, it might. I just think it's now or never for Messi, at least where he's the best player on the team. Come next WC he will be 31.

Was a toss up between Holland and Chile. Vidal probably won't be in shape so that's a big blow for the Chileans.

    Van der Vaart?

Allright, I'll try to create one today. Will keep y'all posted.

Not bad, Estados Unidos. 2-0 should have been about 5-0 with lowly Azerbaijan.

MEX vs. ISR tonight at 8:30 on Univision's networks. I better not speak too soon...

No, you and other folks are just not educated enough on the union and breakup of Russia. :p

Bullsh. Where did you get that "LD has an ego and if its not met... he pouts". As pertaining to the national team and not merely the Galaxy?
If he had an ego(and was anything like the best player for various national teams in Europe or Africa) he would have told Jurgen to go kick rocks when Jurgen named him on the Gold Cup roster w/the B team. He took it like a team player and showed his worth.
To the press and public he never displayed an issue w/not starting vs Mexico and I'd be willing to bet he was fine with not starting in the WC if it came to that.

Sheesh. Not sure where some of y'all get nonsense about Donovan and mention it like it's a fact.

Anyway, enough about Landon. He's not on the team and Jurgen will either be vindicated or vilified at the end.

The rest of the friendlies will show a lot and Jurgen needs to make up his mind about his defense soon enough so they get some continuity(whether it's the final Friendly & the Belgium practice match) before the 1st match.

how old is that? Ronaldo hasn't played for Man U for 5 years! but it was still cool.

Last night i watched about 4 hours of soccer related movies, I will post them in case anyone is interested... the one about the Cosmos was really entertaining and the one about Garrincha and Pele was kinda sad.

Maradona 86 was worth the watch and the Ceasefire massacre also is worth it especially if you were not around when all this stuff happened. I mean i missed the cosmos,Ii missed Pele, I missed Maradona... but I'm ready for history to be made this summer!

soo they took down "Maradona 86" in the hours since last night but it was great there was this quote by him at the end that really put things in perspective, “By winning the World Cup, we didn’t change the world, we didn’t bring down the price of bread. It was a lovely thought that football players can solve people’s problems; I wish we could. We’d all be better off.”

That video was from the 2010 World Cup if I am not mistaken. Thanks for the link to all the other videos.

I posted the most recent one that was made this year a few posts back.

It's NEW. Neither has Marquez played for Barcelona, nor Ronaldinho, nor Nistelroy for Netherlands, man. :p

It was posted HERE back in April: http://bbs.clutchfans.net/showthread.php?t=253543.

It hit me yesterday, the World Cup is so damn soon! I'm pumped! Maybe i'm just optimistic, maybe I'm crazy, but man I hope and think the U.S qualifies to the next round. I just don't want Portugal and Ronaldo to go on, really.

Tim Howard, top ten goalkeeper in the world?

I'd say top 15 for sure. Love his style.
